Chapter 8.

8 ¹But Jesus waka go di Mount of Olives.

⁷As dem no gree stop to dey question am, e stand up come tell dem, “Whoever among una wey no get sin, make e throw di first stone give am.”

⁸E come bend down again come dey write for ground.

⁹As dem hear dis one, dem begin comot one by one, starting from di oldest, until na only Jesus remain with di woman wey still dey stand for there.

¹⁰Jesus stand up come tell am, “Woman, where dem dey? Nobody condemn you?”

¹¹She talk say, “Nobody, Oga.” Jesus talk say, “Me sef no condemn you. Go, and from now, make you no sin again.”

Na Me Be Di Light of Di World

Stay Inside My Word

³⁹Dem answer, “Abraham na our papa.” Jesus talk say, “If una be Abraham im pikin, una for dey do di works wey Abraham do, ⁴⁰but now una wan kill me—a man wey tell una di truth wey I hear from my Papa. Abraham no do dis kain thing. ⁴¹Na una papa im works una dey do.” Dem tell am, “No be from adultery dem born us. We get one Papa—na God imsef.”

⁴²Jesus tell dem, “If God na una Papa, una for love me, because na from God I comot come dey here. No be by mysef I come—na im send me. ⁴³Why una no dey understand my talk? Na because una no fit bear to hear my word. ⁴⁴Una belong to una papa, di devil, and una wan carry out im desires. ⁵⁴Jesus answer, “If I glorify mysef, my glory na nothing. Na my Papa dey glorify me, di One wey una dey talk say, ‘Na im be our God.’ ⁵⁵Una no know am, but I know am. If I talk say I no know am, I go be liar like una. But I know am and I dey keep im word. ⁵⁶Una papa Abraham rejoice say e go see my day. E see am come dey glad.”

⁵⁷So di Jews tell am, “You never reach fifty years, and you don see Abraham?”
