John 13

13 ¹Now, before di Passover feast, Jesus know say im hour don reach make e comot for dis world go meet im Papa. ⁷Jesus answer am, “Wetin I dey do now, you no fit understand am, but later you go understand.”

⁸“You no go ever wash my leg,” na so Peter talk. Jesus answer, “If I no wash you, you no get any part wit me.”

⁹Simon Peter tell am, “Oga, no be my leg only, but my hand and my head sef!”

¹⁰Jesus tell am, “Person wey don bath only need make dem wash im leg—e don clean finish. Una don clean, but no be all of una.”

Make Una Love Una Sef

³¹After Judas comot, Jesus talk say, “Now di Pikin of Man don receive glory, and my Papa don receive glory through am. ³²If my Papa receive glory through am, my Papa go also give di Pikin glory for Imsef and go glorify am sharp-sharp. ³³My dear pikin dem, I still dey wit una small time. ³⁶Simon Peter tell am, “Oga, where you dey go?” Jesus answer, “Where I dey go, you no fit follow me now, but you go follow later.”

³⁷Peter ask, “Oga, why I no fit follow you now? I go lay down my life for you.”

³⁸Jesus answer, “You go lay down your life for me? True-true, I dey tell you: cock no go crow until you don deny me three times.”
