Mark 6

6 ¹E comot from dat place come reach im own town, and im disciples follow am. ²For di Sabbath day e begin teach for di synagogue. Plenty people wey hear am wonder well well, dem say, "Na where dis man take get dis kind thing? Wetin be dis wisdom wey dem give am? How dis kind miracle take dey happen for im hand? ³No be dis one be di carpenter, Mary im pikin, di brother of James, Joses, Judas, and Simon? No be im sisters dey here with us?" So dem take offence for am.

⁴Jesus tell dem, "Na only for im own town, among im family people, and for im own house, prophet no dey get respect."

⁵E no fit do any miracle for dere, except say e put hand for small sick people heal dem. ⁶E wonder say dem no get faith. Den e waka round di villages dey teach.

Jesus Send di Twelve Comot

⁷E call di twelve come begin send dem out two-two, e give dem power over dirty spirits. ⁸E charge dem say make dem no carry anything for road except only staff—no bread, no bag, no money for dem belt, ⁹but make dem wear sandals, and make dem no wear two cloth.

Wen Herod dey hear John, e dey confuse am well well, but e still dey glad to hear am.

²¹Den one better day come reach: na Herod birthday, wen e make big party for im big-big people, im army commanders, and di leaders of Galilee. ²²Wen Herodias pikin, di girl, enter come dance, e sweet Herod and di people wey come chop with am. Di king tell di girl, "Ask me anything wey you want, and I go give you." ²³E swear give am, "Anything wey you ask me, I go give you—even reach half of my kingdom."

²⁴Di girl comot go ask im mama, "Wetin I go ask?" Im mama talk say, "Di head of John wey dey baptize."

Jesus Feed Five Thousand People

³⁰Di apostles gather come meet Jesus, dem tell am everything wey dem do and wey dem teach.

³¹E tell dem, "Make una come rest small for one quiet place wey una go dey una one." Because plenty people dey come and dey go, and dem no even get time to chop.

³²So dem enter boat comot go one lonely place wey dem go dey dem one. ³³But plenty people see dem as dem dey go, and dem sabi dem; dem run for leg from every town, dem reach dere before Jesus and im people. ³⁴Wen Jesus comot from boat, e see plenty crowd, and im belle dey pain am for dem, because dem be like sheep wey no get shepherd, and e begin teach dem plenty things. ³⁵Wen e don late, im disciples come meet am talk say, "Dis place na lonely place, and e don late already. ³⁶Send di people make dem go di villages and towns wey dey near go buy something to chop for demself."

³⁷E answer dem, "Na una go give dem something to chop." Dem talk say, "You want make we go buy bread wey cost 200 denarii give dem chop?"

³⁸E ask dem, "How many bread una get? Go check." Dem check am, dem talk say, "Na five, and two fish."

³⁹Den e command dem say make everybody sit down for group-group for di green grass. ⁴⁰So dem sit down for group-group, some na hundred-hundred, some na fifty-fifty. ⁴¹E take di five bread and di two fish, e look up go heaven, e give thanks and break di bread, e give am di disciples make dem share give di people, and e divide di two fish give everybody. ⁴²And everybody chop belleful. ⁴³And dem gather di broken pieces wey remain and di fish, e fill twelve basket. ⁴⁴And di men wey chop di bread na five thousand.

Jesus Waka for Top Water

⁴⁵One time e make im disciples enter boat go before am reach di other side, go Bethsaida, while e dey send di crowd go. ⁴⁶And afta e don tell dem bye-bye, e climb go on top mountain go pray.

⁴⁷Wen evening reach, di boat don dey far for inside di sea, and na Jesus one dey for land. ⁴⁸E see say dem dey suffer to row di boat, because wind dey blow against dem. Around three for morning e come meet dem, e dey waka for top di water. E wan pass dem go, ⁴⁹but wen dem see am dey waka for top di water, dem think say na ghost, dem begin shout,

⁵⁰because everybody see am and fear catch dem; but one time e talk give dem, e say, "Make una take heart; na me. Make una no fear."

⁵¹E enter inside di boat come meet dem, and di wind stop; and dem wonder well well for demself, ⁵²because dem no understand di matter of di bread, dem heart still dey hard.

⁵³Wen dem don cross go di other side, dem reach land for Gennesaret, dem tie di boat for shore. ⁵⁴And wen dem comot from di boat, one time di people sabi Jesus. ⁵⁵Dem run go all over dat area, dem begin carry di sick people for mat go anywhere wey dem hear say e dey. ⁵⁶Anywhere wey e go—villages, towns, or farmland—dem lay di sick people for market, dem dey beg am make dem just touch even di edge of im cloth. And everybody wey touch am get healing.
