Romans 5

5 ¹So, since faith don make us correct, we get peace with our Papa through our Oga Jesus Christ. ²Na through am we take faith enter dis grace wey we dey stand for, and we dey rejoice as we get hope for our Papa glory. ³No be only dat, but we still dey boast for inside our suffer-suffer, because we sabi say suffering dey bring endurance, ⁴and endurance dey bring correct character, and character dey bring hope. ⁵Dis hope no dey put us to shame, because our Papa love don pour enter our heart through the Holy Spirit wey dem give us.

⁶As we still dey weak dat time, for di correct time Christ die for people wey dey do bad-bad. ⁷E hard make person go die for correct-and-holy person, though for one good person, e fit be say somebody go even dare to die. ⁸But our Papa show im own love for us like dis: as we still be sinner, Christ die for us. ^a a v8 Our Papa prove im love for di cross — as e give im Pikin for us while we still dey far from am.

⁹How much more now wey im blood don make us correct, we go save through am from di anger wey dey come. ¹⁰If, as we be enemy, our Papa reconcile us to imsef through di death of im Pikin, how much more now wey we don reconcile, im life go save us? ¹¹No be only dat — we still dey rejoice inside our Papa through our Oga Jesus Christ, through who we don receive dis reconciliation now.

Death Come Through Adam, Life Come Through Christ

¹²So, as sin take one man enter di world, and death come through sin, na so death spread reach everybody, because everybody sin. ¹³Before di law come, sin don already dey for di world; but dem no dey count sin for where law no dey. ¹⁴Still, death rule from Adam reach Moses, even ontop people wey dem own sin no be like Adam wrong-doing — Adam na shadow of di one wey suppose come.

¹⁵But di gift no be like di sin: if plenty people die through one man sin, how much more our Papa grace, and di gift wey come by di grace of one man, Jesus Christ, don overflow reach plenty people. ¹⁶And di gift no be like di result of dat one man sin: judgment from one sin bring condemnation, but di gift from plenty sin bring justification. ¹⁷For if death rule through dat one man because of one wrong step, how much more dem wey dey receive di overflow of grace and di gift of correct-and-holy way go rule for inside life through di one man, Jesus Christ.

¹⁸So den, as one wrong step condemn everybody, na so one correct-and-holy act dey bring justification and life to everybody. ¹⁹As one man disobedience make plenty people turn sinner, na so one man obedience go make plenty people turn correct-and-holy people. ²⁰Now di law come in so dat di wrong step fit increase, but for where sin increase, grace overflow pass am, ²¹so dat as sin rule inside death, grace fit rule through di correct-and-holy way, to bring life wey no dey end, through Jesus Christ our Oga.
