Genesis 1

⁴ E see say di light good, and e separate di light from di darkness. ⁵ E call di light "day" and e call di darkness "night." Evening come, morning come—one day.

⁶ And our Papa talk say, "Make expanse dey between di waters to separate water from water."

⁷ E make di expanse and e separate di water wey dey under am from di water wey dey on top am. And e be so. ⁸ E call di expanse "sky." So evening come, morning come—di second day.

⁹ Den our Papa talk say, "Make di water wey dey under di sky gather to one place, and make dry ground show." And e be so.

¹⁰ E name di dry ground land, di waters wey gather e name seas. And e see say e good.

¹¹ Den e talk say, "Make di land grow plant: plant wey dey carry seed, fruit tree wey dey bear fruit wit seed inside am, according to im kind." And e be so.

¹² Di land bring plant come out—plant wey dey carry seed according to im kind, and tree wey dey bear fruit wit seed inside am according to im kind—and our Papa see say e good. ¹³ And evening come, morning come—di third day.

¹⁴ And our Papa talk say, "Make lights dey for di expanse of di sky to separate day from night, and to serve as signs to mark seasons, days, and years," ¹⁵ and make dem be lights for di expanse of di sky, to give light on top di earth." And e be so.

¹⁶ Our Papa make two big lights—di bigger light to rule di day, di smaller light to rule di night—and di stars. ¹⁷ E set dem for di expanse of di sky to give light on top di earth, ¹⁸ to rule di day and di night, and to separate light from darkness. E see say e good. ¹⁹ So evening come, morning come—di fourth day.

²⁰ Den our Papa talk say, "Make di water full wit creatures wey get life, and make birds fly on top di earth, across di expanse of di sky."

²¹ So e create di big sea creatures, every living creature wey dey move and full di water according to im kind, and every bird wey get wing according to im kind. And e see say e good.

²² Our Papa bless dem and talk say, "Born plenty, multiply, full di waters for di seas, and make birds multiply on top di earth."

²³ And evening come, morning come—di fifth day.

²⁴ And our Papa talk say, "Make di land bring out living creatures according to dem kind: livestock, creatures wey dey crawl, and wild animals, each one according to im kind." And e be so.

²⁵ E make wild animals according to dem kind, livestock according to dem kind, and every creature wey dey crawl on top di ground according to im kind. And e see say e good.

²⁶ Den our Papa talk say, "Make we make humanity for our image, according to our likeness, to rule di fish of di sea, di birds of di sky, di livestock, di whole earth, and every creature wey dey crawl on top di ground." ^b b v26 As di Papa take use "us" and "our" na to point to Papa, Pikin, and Holy Spirit.

²⁷ So our Papa create humanity for dem own image; for di image of di Papa, Pikin, and Holy Spirit e create dem; man and woman e create dem. ^c c v27 Na for di image of all three Persons—Papa, Pikin, and Holy Spirit—dem create humanity, no be Papa alone.

²⁸ Our Papa bless dem and talk give dem say, "Born plenty, multiply, full di earth and rule am. Rule di fish of di sea, di birds of di sky, and every living creature wey dey move on top di earth." ²⁹ Den e talk say, "I give una every plant wey dey carry seed across di whole earth, and every tree wey get fruit wey dey carry seed — dem go be una food." ³⁰ "To every animal of di earth, every bird of di sky, everything wey dey crawl on top di ground wey get breath of life, I give every green plant for food." And na so e happen.

³¹ Our Papa see everything wey e don make—e good well well. Evening come, morning come: day six.
