Acts 10

⁴E look di angel well, fear catch am, e say, “Wetin be dis, oga?” Di angel answer am say, “Your prayer and di gift wey you dey give poor people don rise go up as memorial for front of our Papa.”

⁵Now, send people go Joppa make dem bring one man wey im name na Simon, wey dem dey call Peter. ⁶E dey stay with one man wey dey work leather wey im name na Simon, wey im house dey near di sea.

⁷When di angel wey talk to am comot, Cornelius call two of im house servant and one soldier wey dey fear God from di people wey dey follow am always, ⁸and after e don explain everything give dem, e send dem go Joppa.

Di Papa Open Peter Im Heart

²²Dem say, “Cornelius, one army captain, correct man wey dey fear our Papa, and wey di whole Jewish nation dey respect, na holy angel tell am make e call you come im house make e hear wetin you get to talk.” ²³So e invite dem come inside come host dem. ²⁴Di next day e enter Caesarea. Cornelius, wey dey wait for dem, don gather im family people and im close friends. ²⁵As Peter enter, Cornelius come meet am, fall down for im foot, come worship am. ²⁶But Peter raise am up, e say, “Stand up! Na man I be too.” ²⁷As e dey talk with Cornelius, Peter enter inside come see plenty people wey gather. ²⁸E tell dem say, “Una sef know say law no gree Jew person mix or visit person from another nation. But our Papa show me say I no suppose call any person common or wey no clean. ²⁹So, when una send call me, I come, I no argue. Now, why una send call me?”

³⁰Cornelius say, “Four days now, for dis same hour, three o'clock for afternoon, I dey pray for my house, and sharp-sharp one man wey wear cloth wey dey shine come stand for my front, ³¹come say, ‘Cornelius, dem don hear your prayer and dem don remember di gift wey you dey give poor people for front of our Papa. ³²So send go Joppa make dem call Simon, wey dem dey call Peter. E dey stay for Simon di leather-worker house, near di sea.’ ³³So I send call you one time, and you do well say you come. Now, all of us dey here for front of God, to hear everything wey Oga don command you.”

⁴⁴As Peter still dey talk dis things, the Holy Spirit fall on top all di people wey hear di word. ⁴⁵Di believers wey dem circumcise wey follow Peter come, dem surprise well-well say dem pour di gift of the Holy Spirit on top Gentile people too. ⁴⁶Because dem hear dem dey speak in tongues dey praise our Papa. Then Peter declare say,

⁴⁷“Person fit refuse water to baptize dis people, wey don receive the Holy Spirit like as we take receive am?” ⁴⁸E order say make dem baptize dem for Jesus Christ name. Then dem beg am make e stay some days.
