1 Kings 22

Chapter 22.

22 ¹For three years, no war bin dey between Aram and Israel. ²But for di third year, Jehoshaphat wey be king of Judah come down go meet di king of Israel. ³Di king of Israel talk give im servant-people say, “Una know say Ramoth-gilead na our own, but we no dey do anything to collect am from di hand of di king of Aram?” ⁴E ask Jehoshaphat say, “You go follow me go fight against Ramoth-gilead?” Jehoshaphat tell di king of Israel say, “I be like you, my people be like your people, my horses be like your horses.”

⁵Then Jehoshaphat talk give di king of Israel say, “Abeg, first ask wetin our Papa word be.”

¹⁸Israel king talk give Jehoshaphat say, “No be I tell you say e no go prophesy anything good about me, na only wahala?”

¹⁹Micaiah talk say, “So hear di word of our Papa: I see our Papa sidon for im throne, all di army of heaven stand near am, for im right hand and im left hand.

²⁰And our Papa talk say, ‘Who go lure Ahab make e go up go fall for Ramoth-gilead?’ One talk dis, anoda talk dat.

²¹Then one spirit come forward come stand before our Papa, e talk say, ‘Na me go entice am.’

²²And our Papa ask say, ‘How?’ E talk say, ‘I go go out go be lying spirit for di mouth of all im prophets.’ And our Papa talk say, ‘You go entice am and you go succeed. Go out go do am.’

²³So now, our Papa don put lying spirit for di mouth of all dis your prophets, and our Papa don declare wahala against you.”

²⁴Then Zedekiah pikin of Chenaanah step forward, e slap Micaiah for cheek, e talk say, “Which way di Spirit of God take pass from me come talk give you?”

²⁵Micaiah talk say, “You go see am for dat day when you go enter inside room to go hide.”

²⁶Di king of Israel talk say, “Take Micaiah, carry am go back give Amon di governor of di city and give Joash di king pikin, ²⁷and talk say, ‘Di king say: Put dis man for prison and give am only bread and water until I return with peace.’”

²⁸Micaiah talk say, “If you really return with peace at all, then our Papa never talk through me.” And e talk say, “Una hear, all una people!”

²⁹So di king of Israel and Jehoshaphat wey be king of Judah go up go Ramoth-gilead. ³⁰Di king of Israel tell Jehoshaphat say, “I go change my appearance so dat dem no go recognize me, and go enter di battle, but you wear your royal cloth.” So di king of Israel change im appearance come enter di battle.
