Wen e see dem, e run comot from di door of im tent go meet dem, and e bow down reach ground. ³E talk say, “My Oga-Papa, if I don find favour for your eye, abeg no pass your servant go. ⁴Make dem bring small water make una wash una leg and rest under di tree. ⁵Make I bring small bread make una chop refresh una body before una waka go, since una don come reach your servant.” Dem talk say, “Do as you talk.”

⁶Abraham rush enter di tent go meet Sarah and talk say, “Sharp-sharp, take about twenty-five pound of fine flour, knead am, and make bread.” ⁷Abraham run go di cattle pen, take one small tender-tender good calf, and give am to di servant, wey rush go prepare am. ⁸E take curd, milk, and di calf wey dem don prepare, put dem for front of di men, den e stand near dem under di tree while dem dey chop.

¹¹Abraham and Sarah don old well-well, dem don dey far for age; Sarah don stop to dey see im monthly period. ¹²Sarah laugh for inside imsef, dey talk say, “After wey my body don finish like dis, I go still get sweetness? And my oga sef don old.”

¹³Den our Papa talk to Abraham say, “Why Sarah laugh, dey talk say, ‘I go truly born pikin, old as I don old reach?’ ¹⁴Any tin dey too hard for your Papa? I go come back to you for di time wey I set, next year, and Sarah go get pikin boy.”

Dem Look Go Sodom Side

¹⁷Now our Papa talk say, “I go hide from Abraham di tin wey I dey about to do, ¹⁸since Abraham go sure-sure turn to one big and strong nation, and all di nations of di earth go get blessing through am? ¹⁹For I don choose am, so that e go teach im pikin dem and im household wey dey im back to hold my way by doing wetin correct and just, so that I fit do wetin I don promise Abraham.” ²⁰Den our Papa talk say, “Di cry against Sodom and Gomorrah don plenty, and dem sin serious well-well, ²¹so I go go down go see whether dem don do sotay reach as di cry wey reach me talk; if e no be so, I go know.”

²²So di men turn comot from there and go Sodom side, while Abraham still stand for front of our Papa. ²³Den Abraham come near and talk say, “You go truly sweep away di correct-and-holy people together with di wicked people? ²⁴Suppose fifty correct-and-holy people dey inside di city — you go truly sweep am away, and no spare di place because of di fifty correct-and-holy people wey dey inside? ²⁵Make e no be your way to kill di correct-and-holy person with di wicked one, dey treat dem di same way! Make e no be so at all! Di Judge of all di earth no go do wetin just?”

²⁶Our Papa talk say, “If I find fifty correct-and-holy people inside di city of Sodom, I go spare di whole place because of dem.”

²⁷Abraham talk say, “I don dare to talk to my Oga-Papa, even as I be just dust and ashes.

²⁸Suppose di fifty correct-and-holy people short by five. You go destroy di whole city because of five?” And our Papa talk say, “I no go destroy am if I find forty-five there.”

²⁹E talk to am again say, “Suppose dem find forty there.” E talk say, “Because of di forty, I no go do am.”

³⁰Abraham talk say, “Make my Oga-Papa no vex, make I talk. Suppose dem find thirty there.” E talk say, “I no go do am if I find thirty there.”

³¹Abraham talk say, “Since I don dare to talk to my Oga-Papa, suppose na twenty rada dem find there.” E talk say, “Because of di twenty, I no go destroy am.”

³²Den e talk say, “Make my Oga-Papa no vex, make I talk just one more time: suppose na ten rada dem find there.” And our Papa talk say, “Because of di ten, I no go destroy am.”

³³Wen our Papa finish to talk with Abraham, e comot go; and Abraham go back to im place.
