Our Papa Multiply di Widow Oil

Four Elisha story: our Papa fill every pot wey dem borrow from one widow one jar of oil; one Shunammite woman get the son wey she no even ask for, and when the boy die Elisha stretch imself on top am until e sneeze; death comot from one soup pot; one hundred men chop twenty bread.

Chapter 4.

Di wife of one of di sons of di prophets cry come meet Elisha, she talk say, "Your servant, wey be my husband, don die, and you sabi say your servant dey fear our Papa well well. Now di man wey I owe money don come wan take my two pikin dem make dem be slave."

Elisha ask am, "Wetin I fit do for you? Tell me, wetin dey your house?" She talk say, "Your servant no get anytin except one small jar of oil."

Then he talk say, "Go, borrow vessel dem for outside from all your neighbour dem—empty vessel dem, no be small. Go inside, lock di door for you and your sons back, and pour di oil inside all dis jar dem. As each one full, put am for side."

So she comot from im front, lock di door for her and her sons back; dem keep dey bring di vessel dem, she keep dey pour. When di jar dem full, she tell her son, "Bring me anoda one." "No one remain again," na so he talk. Then di oil stop.

She come tell di man of our Papa, wey talk say, "Go, sell di oil, pay wetin you owe, and you and your sons go take di rest take live."

Di Promise wey our Papa Give di Shunammite Woman

One day Elisha pass through Shunem, where one woman wey get plenty money dey live; she beg am make he stay chop. Anytime he pass by, he go stop for there go chop. She tell her husband, "See, I sabi say dis man wey dey pass by us plenty time na holy man of our Papa. Make we build am one small room for di roof top with bed, table, chair, and lamp, so dat he go fit stay anytime he come."

One day Elisha come there, turn enter di upper room, and lie down. He tell im servant Gehazi, "Call dis Shunammite woman." He call her, and she stand for im front. Elisha tell am, "Tell her: You don suffer yourself well well for us. Wetin I fit do for you? You want make I talk for you to di king or di commander of di army?" She answer, "I dey live among my own people."

He ask, "Wetin I fit do for her?" Gehazi talk say, "She no get son, and her husband don old."

He talk say, "Call her." So he call her, and she stand for di doorway. He talk say, "Around dis same time next year, you go hold your own son for your hand." She talk say, "No, my oga, man of our Papa, no lie to your servant."

Di woman come get belle come born son for dat same time di next year, just as Elisha don tell her.

Di pikin grow, and one day he go out go meet im papa, for where dem dey harvest. He tell im papa, "My head! My head!" Im papa tell one servant, "Carry am go give im mama."

He carry am go give im mama; di boy sidon for her lap till afternoon, then he die. She go up, put am for di man of our Papa bed, lock di door for im back, and comot. She call her husband: "Send me one servant and one donkey, so dat I go fit run go meet di man of our Papa and come back."

He ask, "Why you wan go meet am today? No be new moon or Sabbath." She talk say, "E dey okay."

She put saddle for di donkey and tell her servant, "Drive on; no slow down for me unless I tell you." She set out come reach di man of our Papa for Mount Carmel. As he see her from far, di man of our Papa tell Gehazi im servant, "See, na di Shunammite woman. Run now, go meet her, and ask, ‘You dey well? Your husband dey well? Di pikin dey well?’" She answer, "Everytin dey well."

When she reach di man of our Papa for di mountain, she grab im leg. Gehazi come wan push her comot, but he talk say, "Leave her alone—her soul dey inside bitter pain, and our Papa don hide di matter from me, he no tell me."

She talk say, "I bin ask my oga for son? No be me talk say, ‘No raise my hope’?"

Elisha tell Gehazi, "Tie your cloth for your waist, take my staff for your hand, and go. If you meet anybody, no greet am; if anybody greet you, no answer am. Put my staff for di boy face."

But di pikin mama talk say, "As our Papa dey alive and as you dey alive, I no go leave you." So he get up follow her.

Gehazi go before dem, put di staff for di boy face, but no sound or answer dey. He go back go meet Elisha: "Di boy never wake up."

When Elisha enter di house, na so di pikin dey, don die, dey lie down for im bed. So he enter, lock di door for di two of dem back, and pray to our Papa. Then he climb up lie down for di pikin—mouth for mouth, eye for eye, hand for hand. As he stretch imself over am, di pikin body come dey warm. He get up, waka round di room one time, then he climb up stretch imself over di boy again. Di boy sneeze seven times come open im eye. Elisha call Gehazi: "Call dis Shunammite woman." He call her; she come meet am, and he talk say, "Take your son."

She come, fall for im feet, bow reach di ground, then she carry her son comot.

Our Papa Heal di Stew wey Fit Kill Person

Elisha come back to Gilgal during hungry time. As di sons of di prophets sidon for im front, he tell im servant, "Put di big pot for fire; boil stew for di sons of di prophets."

One of dem go out to di field go gather herbs come find one wild vine. He gather full im cloth of wild gourd from am, come back, cut dem inside di stew pot—nobody know wetin dem be. Dem pour am out for di men make dem chop, but as dem dey chop di stew dem cry out, "Man of our Papa, death dey inside di pot!" Dem no fit chop am.

He talk say, "Bring flour," throw am inside di pot, and talk say, "Pour am out for di people make dem chop." No bad tin remain inside di pot again.

One man from Baal-shalishah bring di man of our Papa firstfruit bread—twenty barley loaf and fresh grain inside im bag. Elisha talk say, "Give di people make dem chop."

Im servant talk say, "How I go take put dis one for one hundred men front?" He talk again say, "Give di people make dem chop, because our Papa talk say: Dem go chop and still get leftover."

He put am for dem front; dem chop and get leftover, just as our Papa talk.
