Galatians 2

2 ¹Afta fourteen years, I go up Jerusalem again with Barnabas, and I carry Titus join too. ²Na revelation make me go up, and I put di gospel wey I dey preach among di Gentile people before dem—private-private, before dem wey people dey respect—so dat I no go dey run, or don run, for nothing. ³But even Titus wey dey with me, sef, wey be Greek, dem no force am make dem circumcise am. ⁴Na becos of fake brothers wey dem carry come inside secret-secret, wey slip enter to spy di freedom wey we get for Christ Jesus, so dat dem go turn us to slave. ⁵We no gree gi dem chance even for one small moment, so dat di truth of di gospel go remain with una. ⁶As for dem wey people dey respect—wetin dem be no dey change anything for me; our Papa no dey take face show partiality—dem wey people dey respect no add anything to wetin I get. ⁷Instead, dem see sey na me dem trust with di gospel for di people wey no circumcise, di same way wey dem trust Peter for di people wey circumcise. ⁸Becos di One wey work inside Peter make e be apostle to di circumcised people, na di same One work inside me too for di Gentile people. ⁹As dem recognize di grace wey dem gi me, James, Peter, and John—wey people dey take as pillars—give me and Barnabas dem right hand of fellowship: we go go meet di Gentile people, dem go go meet di circumcised people. ¹⁰Na only one thing dem ask, sey make we remember di poor people—di very thing wey my mind don already dey hot to do.

¹⁵We ourself na Jew from birth, no be Gentile sinners, ¹⁶still, we sabi sey no be by di work of di law God dey make person correct, but na through faith for Jesus Christ. We too put our trust for Christ Jesus, so dat we go correct through faith for Christ, no be by di work of di law—becos di work of di law no fit make any human being correct. ¹⁷But if, as we dey try make we correct for Christ, dem come find us too as sinners, dat mean sey Christ na servant of sin? God forbid! ¹⁸Becos if I build back di thing wey I scatter, I dey prove sey I be person wey dey break di law. ¹⁹Becos na through di law I die to di law, so dat I fit live to our Papa. ²⁰Dem don nail me for cross with Christ. No be me dey live again, but na Christ dey live inside me. Di life wey I dey live now for di body, na by faith I dey live am, faith for di Pikin of our Papa, wey love me and give imsef for my sake. ²¹I no dey reject di grace of our Papa; becos if correct-and-holy way fit come through di law, then Christ die for nothing.
