Romans 8

Anybody wey no get di Spirit of Christ no be im own. ¹⁰But if Christ dey inside una, di body don die because of sin, but di Spirit na life because of di correct-and-holy way. ¹¹So if di Spirit of our Papa wey raise Jesus from death dey live inside una, di One wey raise Christ from death go also make una body wey fit die come alive through im Spirit wey dey live inside una.

But hope wey person don see no be hope—who dey hope for wetin e don already see? ²⁵But if we dey hope for wetin we never see, we dey wait for am with patience.

³¹So wetin we go talk about all dis tinz? If our Papa dey for us, who fit dey against us? ³²E no keep im own Pikin, but e give am up for all of us—shey e no go also give us everything freely together with am? ³³Who go bring any charge against di people wey our Papa choose? Na our Papa be di One wey dey make person correct. ³⁴Who go condemn? Christ Jesus—wey die, and pass dat one, wey dem raise up, wey dey for di right hand of our Papa, wey true true dey plead for us.

³⁵Who fit separate us from di love of Christ? Suffering, or hard-time, or persecution, or hunger, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? ³⁶As dem write am sey: “Because of you, dem dey kill us di whole day; dem count us like sheep wey dem wan slaughter.”

³⁷No o, for inside all dis tinz we pass conqueror through di One wey love us. ³⁸Because I don sure sey nothing—no death, no life, no angel, no ruler, no tin wey dey now, no tin wey dey come, no power, ³⁹no height, no depth, no any oda tin for inside di whole creation, fit separate us from di love of our Papa wey dey inside Christ Jesus our Oga.
