Psalms 77

77 ¹I dey cry loud loud to our Papa; my voice dey rise go meet our Papa, so that e go hear me. ²For di day wey my trouble reach, I look for di Sovereign Papa; for night my hand stretch out and e no tire; my soul refuse make dem comfort am. ³I remember our Papa, and I dey groan; I dey think am well well, and my spirit dey weak.

⁴You hold my eye open; trouble catch me and I no fit talk. ⁵I think about di days of before, di years wey don pass tey. ⁶I remember my song for di night; I think am well well for my heart, and my spirit dey find answer: ⁷“Di Sovereign Papa go throway person forever, and e no go show favour again? ⁸Im Covenant love don finish forever? Im promise don come to end for all generations? ⁹Our Papa don forget how to dey kind? For im vex, e don hold back im tender mercy wey dey pain belle?”

¹⁰Den I talk say, “Na dis be my appeal: di years of di right hand of di Most High.” ^a a v10 Di appeal na to di years wey don pass, wen di Most High im mighty hand work with power for im people. ¹¹I go remember di things wey our Papa do; yes, I go remember your wonders of before. ¹²I go think well well about all your work, and consider your mighty deeds. ¹³Your way, our Papa, holy. Which god big reach our Papa? ¹⁴Na you be our Papa wey dey do wonders; you don make your strength known among di peoples. ¹⁵With your arm you redeem your people, di children of Jacob and Joseph.

¹⁶Di waters see you, our Papa; di waters see you and dem shake for body; true true, di deep places tremble. ¹⁷Di clouds pour out water; di skies make thunder sound; your arrows dey flash for every side. ¹⁸Di sound of your thunder roll through di whirlwind; your lightnings light up di world; di earth tremble and shake. ¹⁹Your way pass through di sea, your path pass through di great waters; but dem no see where your foot mark. ²⁰You lead your people like sheep by di hand of Moses and Aaron.
