Matthew 12

³E tell dem say, “Una never read wetin David do wen hunger catch am and di people wey dey follow am?” ⁴how e enter di house of our Papa go chop di Presence bread, wey law no gree for am and di people wey dey with am—na priest people alone suppose chop am? ⁵“Abi una never read for inside di Law say for Sabbath day, di priest people for temple dey break di Sabbath and no guilt dey on dem? ⁶I dey tell una, something wey pass di temple dey here. ⁷If una for sabi wetin ‘I want mercy, no be sacrifice’ mean, una no for don condemn di people wey no do anything wrong. ⁸Because di Pikin of Man na Oga of di Sabbath.”

Di Papa Mercy Dey Heal for Sabbath Day

⁹E comot from dia go enter dia synagogue. ¹⁰One man wey im hand don dry dey dia. Dem ask am, “E dey lawful to heal person for Sabbath day?”—dem dey find way to accuse am.

Di Servant wey di Papa Love Well-Well

¹⁵Jesus sabi dis tin, so e comot from dia. Plenty people follow am, and e heal all of dem, ¹⁶and e warn dem say make dem no tell anybody about am. ¹⁷Dis one happen so dat wetin di prophet Isaiah talk go come true:

¹⁸“Look, my servant—Jesus—wey I don choose, di one wey my soul love well-well and my heart dey happy for am. I go put my Spirit for im top, and e go announce justice to di nations. ¹⁹E no go quarrel or shout, and nobody go hear im voice for road. ²⁰E no go break reed wey don bend, and e no go quench wick wey dey smoke small-small, until e carry justice reach victory; ²¹and na for im name di nations go put dia hope.”

Kingdom Wey Divide No Fit Stand

²²Den dem bring one man wey blind, wey no fit talk, wey demon dey trouble, come meet am, and e heal am so dat di man fit talk and fit see. ²³All di crowd wonder well-well and dey say, “Abi na dis one be di Son of David?” ²⁴But wen di Pharisee people hear am, dem talk say, “Na by Beelzebul, di prince of demons, dis man dey take drive demons comot.”

²⁵Jesus sabi wetin dey dia mind, so e tell dem say, “Every kingdom wey divide against imsef go scatter, and no city or house wey divide against imsef go fit stand. ²⁶And if Satan dey drive Satan comot, e don divide against imsef. So how im kingdom go take stand? ²⁷If na by Beelzebul I dey take drive demons comot, na by who una own pikin dem dey take drive dem comot? Na dem go be una judge. ²⁸But if na by di Spirit of our Papa I dey take drive demons comot, den di kingdom of our Papa don reach una. ²⁹Abi how person go fit enter house of strong man carry im property comot, if e no first tie di strong man? ³⁰Anybody wey no dey with me dey against me, and anybody wey no dey gather with me dey scatter. ³¹So I dey tell una, every sin and blasphemy go get forgiveness for people, but blasphemy against di Spirit no go get forgiveness. ³²Anybody wey talk against di Pikin of Man go get forgiveness; but anybody wey talk against di Holy Spirit no go get forgiveness—neither for dis age nor for di age wey dey come.

³³Make di tree good, so im fruit go good, or make di tree bad, so im fruit go bad, because na by im fruit dem dey take sabi tree. ³⁴Una pikin of snake! How una go fit talk good tin, wen una be bad people? Because na wetin full di heart, na im mouth dey pour out. ³⁵Good person dey bring out good tin from good treasure; bad person dey bring out bad tin from bad treasure. ³⁶I dey tell una, for judgment day people go answer for every careless word wey dem talk, ³⁷because na by your word dem go justify you, and na by your word dem go condemn you.”

Di Sign of Jonah

³⁸Den some scribe and Pharisee people talk say, “Teacher, we want make you show us one sign.”

³⁹E answer say, “Dis bad generation wey full of adultery dey demand for sign. Dem no go give am any sign except di sign of di prophet Jonah. ⁴⁰As Jonah stay three days and three nights for inside belle of di big fish, na so di Pikin of Man go stay three days and three nights for inside di heart of di earth. ⁴¹Di Nineveh people go stand up for di judgment with dis generation and condemn am, because dem turn from dia sin wen Jonah preach, and something wey pass Jonah dey here. ⁴²Di queen of di South go stand up for di judgment with dis generation and condemn am, because she comot from di end of di earth come hear Solomon wisdom—and look, something wey pass Solomon dey here.

⁴³Wen unclean spirit comot from person, e dey waka through dry places dey find rest, but e no dey find any. ⁴⁴Den e dey talk say, ‘I go go back go my house wey I comot from.’ Wen e come, e meet am empty, dem don sweep am and arrange am well. ⁴⁵Den e dey go bring seven oda spirit wey bad pass am; dem enter go settle dia, and dat person condition come worse pass how e dey before. Di Papa True Family

⁴⁶As e still dey talk to di crowd, im mama and im brothers stand for outside, dey want make dem talk with am. ⁴⁷Somebody tell am say, “Look, your mama and your brothers dey stand for outside, dey want to talk to you.”
