2 ¹My brothers and sisters, as people wey believe for our Oga Jesus Christ wey full of glory, make una no dey show favoritism. ²Make we talk say one man wey wear gold ring and fine cloth enta una gathering, and one poor man wey wear raggedy cloth come enta too. ³If you notice di one wey dress fine and you talk say, “Sidon here, for dis good seat,” but you tell di poor man say, “Stand for dia,” or “Sidon for ground for my leg,” ⁴you no don show favoritism among una sef, come turn judge wey bad mind dey lead? ⁵Listen, my brothers and sisters wey I love: Our Papa no don choose di poor people of dis world to rich for faith, and to inherit di kingdom wey im promise di people wey love am? ⁶But una disrespect di poor man. No be di rich people dey oppress una and dey drag una go court? ⁷No be dem dey blaspheme di honorable name wey dem dey call over una?

⁸If you truly obey di royal law according to di Scripture wey talk say, “Love your neighbor as you love yasef,” you dey do well.

⁹But if you show favoritism, you dey sin, and di law point finger for you say you be person wey break law. ¹⁰Anybody wey keep di whole law but stumble for just one point don become guilty of breaking all of am. ¹¹Because our Papa wey talk say make you no commit adultery, na im talk say make you no kill person too. So if you no commit adultery but you kill person, you don break law. ¹²Make una talk and act like people wey di law of freedom go judge. ¹³Judgment no go get mercy for person wey no show mercy; but mercy dey win over judgment.

Faith Wey Dey Work

Dat kind faith fit save am? ¹⁵Make we talk say brother or sister no get better cloth to wear and food to chop for daily, ¹⁶and one of una tell dem say, “Go with peace, make body warm you and make you chop belleful,” but you no give dem anything wey dem body need—wetin dat one profit? ¹⁷Na so e be: faith by imsef, if works no follow am, don die. ¹⁸But somebody go talk say, “You get faith, and I get works.” Show me your faith wey no get works, and I go show you my faith through my works. ¹⁹You believe say our Papa na one; you dey do well.
