Turn Back Before E Too Late
When dem tell am about Pilate massacre, Jesus no gree say di people wey die be bigger sinners, and e talk say make una repent. One fig tree wey no dey bear fruit get one more year. E free one woman wey bend double for Sabbath day and she glorify our Papa, e warn say di door narrow, and e cry.
13 1For dat same time, some people tell am about some Galilee people wey Pilate mix dia blood with di sacrifice wey dem dey offer.
2Jesus answer dem sey, “You think sey dis Galilee people be worse sinner pass all di oda Galilee people, because dis kind thing happen to dem? 3No o, I dey tell una; but if una no turn from una sin, all of una go perish di same way. 4Or dat eighteen people wey die wen di tower for Siloam fall on top dem—you think sey dem get guilt pass everybody wey dey Jerusalem? 5No o, I dey tell una; but if una no turn from una sin, all of una go perish di same way.”
6Den Jesus tell dis parable: “One man plant fig tree for im vineyard. E come dey look for fruit for di tree, but e no see any. 7E tell di man wey dey mind di garden, ‘See, na three years now I dey come look for fruit for dis fig tree, but I no dey see any. Cut am down—wetin make e dey waste ground for nothing?’ 8But di man answer am, ‘Oga, leave am dis year too, make I dig round am and put manure. 9Den if e bear fruit next year, e good; but if e no bear, you fit cut am down.’”
One Daughter Wey Dem Set Free For Sabbath Day
10Now Jesus dey teach for one of di synagogue for Sabbath day. 11For dat same time, one woman dey dere wey one spirit don make weak for eighteen years; her back bend, and she no fit stand up straight at all.
12Wen Jesus see am, e call am come and sey, “Woman, you don free from your sickness.”
13E put im hand on top am, and immediately she stand up straight and give our Papa glory.
14But di synagogue leader vex sey Jesus heal person for Sabbath day, so e tell di crowd, “Six days dey for work. Come make dem heal una for dose days, no be for Sabbath day.”
15Oga answer am sey, “Una wey be pretender-people! No be each one of una dey untie una ox or donkey from im place for Sabbath day come lead am go drink water? 16Dis woman wey be daughter of Abraham, wey Satan don tie for eighteen years, e no suppose free from dat bondage for Sabbath day?”
17As e talk dis things, shame catch all im enemies, and di whole crowd dey happy for all di wonderful things wey e dey do.
Di Kingdom Dey Grow Like Seed
18So Jesus sey, “Wetin di kingdom of our Papa resemble? Wetin I go take compare am? 19E be like mustard seed wey one man take plant for im garden, and e grow become tree, and di birds for sky come dey nest for im branches.”
20E talk again sey, “Wetin I go take compare di kingdom of our Papa? 21E be like yeast wey one woman take hide inside three measure of flour until di whole thing rise.”
Enter Through Di Narrow Door
22E dey go im way through town and village, dey teach and dey travel go Jerusalem. 23Somebody ask am, “Oga, na small people go save?” E tell dem,
24“Struggle to enter through di narrow door—plenty people, I dey tell una, go try to enter but dem no go fit. 25Once di owner of di house don rise up and lock di door, una go stand outside dey knock, dey sey, ‘Oga, open for us.’ E go answer una, ‘I no know where una come from.’ 26Den una go start to sey, ‘We chop and drink for your front; you teach for our street.’ 27But e go sey, ‘I dey tell una, I no know where una come from. Comot from my front, all of una wey dey do evil!’ 28Weeping and grinding of teeth go dey dere, wen una see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all di prophets inside di kingdom of our Papa, while dem throw una comot for outside. 29People go come from east and west, from north and south, come sidon chop inside di kingdom of our Papa. 30And true-true, some wey dey last go be first, and some wey dey first go be last.”
Jesus Cry For Jerusalem
31For dat same hour, some Pharisee come tell am, “Comot, leave dis place—Herod wan kill you.”
32E tell dem, “Go tell dat fox: See, I dey drive out demon and I dey finish healing today and tomorrow, and for di third day I go don finish my work. 33But still, I must travel today, tomorrow, and di day after, because e no fit be sey prophet go die outside Jerusalem.
34Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you wey dey kill di prophets, wey dey stone di ones wey dem send come you! Plenty times I wan gather your children together like how mother-hen dey gather her chicks under her wings—but una refuse! 35See, dem don leave your house for you. I dey tell una: una no go see me again until una sey, ‘Blessed be di one wey dey come for di name of our Papa!’”
