Our Papa Feed Elijah Through Raven Birds

3“Comot for dis place, turn go east side, go hide yourself for di Brook Cherith, wey dey east of Jordan. 4You go drink from di brook, and I don command di raven birds make dem feed you for there.”
5So he go do wetin our Papa talk; he go stay for di Brook Cherith, wey dey east of Jordan. 6Di raven birds bring am bread and meat for morning, and bread and meat for evening, and he dey drink from di brook. 7After small time, di brook dry up, because rain no fall for di land.
Our Papa Provide Through One Widow
8Den di word of our Papa come meet am say:
9“Get up, go Zarephath wey dey near Sidon, stay for there. I don order one widow for there make she feed you.”
10So he go Zarephath. For di city gate, one widow dey gather firewood. He call am say, “Abeg bring small water for jar make I drink.” 11As she dey go collect am, he call am say, “Abeg bring me piece of bread too.”
12She talk say, “As Oga your God dey alive, I no get bread—na only small flour wey I fit hold for hand dey inside jar and small oil dey inside pot. See, I dey gather small firewood make I go inside prepare am for me and my son, make we chop am, den we go die.”
13Elijah tell am say, “No fear. Go, do wetin you talk. But first make small bread for me from am, bring am give me; den make own for you and your son.
14Because our Papa, Israel im God, talk say: ‘Di flour jar no go finish, and di oil pot no go dry, till di day wey our Papa go send rain for di land.’”
15She go do wetin Elijah talk, and she, and am, and her household chop for many days. 16Di flour jar no finish and di oil pot no dry, just as our Papa talk through Elijah.
17After some time, di son of di woman wey own di house come sick. Im sickness come strong well well until no breath remain inside am. 18She ask Elijah say, “Wetin dey between me and you, man of God? You come to remind me of my sin and to kill my son?”
19He talk say, “Give me your son.” Den he take am comot from her hand, carry am go up for im room, and lay am for im own bed. 20He cry to our Papa say, “My Papa, you don bring trouble even for dis widow wey I dey stay with, by killing her son?” 21He stretch imself for di child three times and cry to our Papa say: “My Papa, make dis child im life return come back to am.”
22Our Papa hear Elijah im cry, and di child im life return come back to am, and he live. a a v22 Na di first time for Scripture wey dem raise anybody from di dead — e dey show our Papa as di One wey dey give life and dey bring life back, and e dey point forward to di resurrection wey go come in full through Jesus. 23Elijah take di child, carry am comot from di upper room enter di house, and give am to im mama. “Look,” Elijah talk, “your son dey alive.”
24Di woman tell Elijah say, “Now I know say you be man of God, and di word of God for your mouth na true.”
