80 ¹ Hear, Shepherd of Israel — our Papa — you wey dey lead Joseph like sheep; you wey sidon for im throne on top di cherubim, shine kom out. ² For front of Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh, wake up your power; kom save us! ³ Bring us back, our Papa; make your face shine, so dat we go save. ⁴ O Papa wey be Oga of di army of heaven, how long you go dey burn with vex against di prayer of your people? ⁵ You don feed dem with bread of tears; you make dem drink tears full measure. ⁶ You make us sometin wey our neighbors dey fight over, and our enemies dey laugh us among demsef. ⁷ Bring us back, Papa wey be Oga of di army of heaven; make your face shine, so dat we go save. ⁸ You bring one vine comot from Egypt; you drive di nations comot and plant am. ^a a v8 Di vine wey our Papa carry comot from Egypt na Israel; later Jesus call imsef “di true vine” — di faithful one wey inside am di people of di Papa finally dey bear fruit. ⁹ You clear di ground for im front; e take deep root and fill di land. ¹⁰ Di mountains cover with im shade, di mighty cedar trees with im branches. ¹¹ E send im branches reach di sea and im young shoot reach di River. ^b b v11 Di River: na di Euphrates, di big river wey mark Israel im border for northeast side. ¹² Why you don break down im walls, so dat everybody wey dey pass for road dey pluck im fruit? ¹³ Di wild pig from di bush dey destroy am, and every animal for di field dey chop am. ¹⁴ Kom back, Papa wey be Oga of di army of heaven!
