Job 21

Book

Job Answer: Why Wicked People Dey Prosper?

Job answer with the evidence wey im friends dey ignore: wicked people dey grow old and get power, their pikin dem dey dance, and dem die for peace after dem tell God make E leave dem alone. Person wey belle full and person wey dey bitter, all of dem go lie down for dust. Their comfort, im talk, na lie.

Chapter 21.

Then Job answer say: "Hear my words well well, and make dis one be di comfort wey una give me. Bear wit me while I dey talk, and afta I don talk, una fit continue to dey mock me. As for me, na against ordinary man I dey complain? Why I no go loss my patience? Look me and make fear catch una, and put una hand for una mouth. Wen I remember am, fear dey catch me, and my body dey shake. Why wicked people dey continue to live, dey old and dey grow strong pass? Dem pikin dey settle and secure wit dem for dem eye, and dem grandpikin dey dem front. Dem house dey safe and no get fear, and no rod of God dey fall on dem. Dem bull dey breed and e no dey fail; dem cow dey born and e no dey lost belle. Dem dey allow dem small pikin run free like flock of sheep, and dem pikin dey jump around. Dem dey sing wit tambourine and lyre and dem dey celebrate wit di sound of flute. Dem dey spend dem days for prosperity, and wit peace dem dey go down enter grave. But dem dey tell God say, 'Leave us alone! We no wan know your ways. Wetin be di Almighty, wey we go serve am? And wetin we go gain if we pray to am?' But dem prosperity no dey dem own hand; I no wan get anytin to do wit di plan of wicked people. How many times di lamp of wicked people dey quench? How many times dem disaster dey fall on dem? How many times God dey share pain for im vex? How many times dem dey like dry grass wey wind dey blow, like chaff wey storm dey carry comot? Una dey talk say, 'God dey keep man punishment for im pikin.' Make He pay di man imsef, so dat e go learn am. Make im own eye see im ruin, and make e drink di anger of di Almighty. For wetin e go care about im household afta im don go, wen dem cut im months short? Anybody fit teach God knowledge, since na Him dey judge dem wey dey up there? One person dey die wit full strength, wit total ease and secure, im body well well feed and di marrow of im bone still dey fresh. Anoda person dey die wit bitter soul, wey never taste any good tin. Together dem dey lie down for di dust, and worm dey cover di two of dem. Look, I know una thought, and una plan to do me bad. For una dey talk say, 'Where di house of di big man dey now? Where di tent wey di wicked man dey live?' Una never ask di people wey dey travel di road? Una no go accept di proof wey dem give, say dem dey spare di evil man for di day of disaster, say dem dey deliver am for di day of anger? Who dey face am to tell am about im conduct, and who dey pay am back for wetin e don do? Dem dey carry am go grave, and dem dey watch im tomb. Di soil of di valley dey sweet am; everybody dey follow am, and dem wey go before am plenty pass count. So how una fit comfort me wit empty words? Una answer na lie, notin else."
