Wisdom psalm wey Asaph write.
74 1 O our Papa, why you don throway us go forever? Why your vex dey burn like fire against di sheep for your field?
2 Remember your congregation, wey you buy longlong time ago, wey you redeem make dem be di tribe wey be your own inheritance — Mount Zion, wia you don dey stay. 3 Turn your foot come dis ruins wey don scatter forever, all di destruction wey di enemy don bring on your holy place.
4 Your enemies don dey roar inside di place wia you dey meet your people; dem raise dem own flag as sign. 5 Dem be like men wey dey swing axe high for inside bush of plenty tree. 6 And now dem dey break all di carve-work wit axe and hammer. 7 Dem put your holy place on fire; dem spoil di dwelling place of your name reach ground. 8 Dem talk for demself, “We go crush all dia meeting place togeda.” Dem burn every meeting place of our Papa for di land.
9 We no dey see any sign for us; prophet no dey again, and nobody among us know how long e go last. 10 How long, our Papa, di enemy go dey mock? Di enemy go dey insult your name forever? 11 Why you dey hold back your hand, your right hand? Bring am comot from inside your cloth and make everything finish!
12 But still, our Papa na my King from di old-old days, e dey work salvation for all di earth.
13 You divide di sea wit your power; you break di head of di sea monsters for inside di water. 14 You crush di head of Leviathan; you give am as food to di animals for di wilderness. 15 You open spring and stream comot; you dry up di rivers wey dey flow all di time. 16 Di day na your own, di night sef na your own; na you set di moon and di sun. 17 Na you set all di boundary of di earth; na you make dry season and cold season.
18 Remember dis one — di enemy dey mock, our Papa, and foolish people dey insult your name. 19 No give di life of your dove to di wild animals; no forget forever di life of your people wey dey suffer. a a v19 “Your dove” na tender poetic picture for God im people, Israel.
20 Look di Covenant well, because di dark places for di land don full wit di hideout of violence. 21 No make di people wey dem dey oppress turn back wit shame; make di poor and di needy praise your name.
22 Rise up, our Papa, defend your own case; remember how di fool dey mock you di whole day. 23 No forget di noise of your enemies, di uproar of dem wey dey rise against you, wey dey loud more and more all di time.
