24 ¹Again, our Papa vex well-well against Israel, and e stir up David against dem, sey, "Go count di people of Israel and Judah."

¹¹When David wake for morning, di word of our Papa come to di prophet Gad, David seer:

¹²"Go tok give David sey, 'Na dis our Papa tok: I hold three tins over you. Choose one of dem, and I go do am against you.'"

¹³So Gad come to David and tell am, e ask sey, "You wan make three years of hunger come your land? Or you wan run three months before your enemies while dem dey chase you? Or you wan make three days of plague dey your land? Now tink am well and decide wetin answer I go carry go back give di one wey send me."

¹⁴Den David tok give Gad sey, "My mind dey heavy well-well. Make we fall enta di hand of our Papa, because im tender mercy wey dey pain belle plenty well-well; but no make I fall enta di hand of man."

David Build Altar

¹⁸Dat day, Gad come to David and tok give am sey, "Go up and build altar give our Papa for di threshing floor of Araunah di Jebusite." ¹⁹So David go up, according to di word of Gad, as our Papa don command. ²⁰When Araunah look down and see di king and im servants dey come toward am, e comot and bow before di king with im face for ground. ²¹And Araunah sey, "Why my oga di king come to im servant?" David answer sey, "To buy di threshing floor from you, to build altar give our Papa, so dat di plague fit stop from di people."

²²Araunah tok give David sey, "Make my oga di king take and offer up whatever good for im eye. See, na di oxen be dis for di burnt offering, and di threshing sledges and di ox yokes for di wood. ²³All dis, O king, Araunah dey give di king." And Araunah tok give di king sey, "Make Oga your God accept you."

²⁴But di king tok give Araunah sey, "No, I must buy am from you for price. I no go offer to my Papa burnt offerings wey no cost me anything." So David buy di threshing floor and di oxen for about one.Two pounds of silver. ²⁵And David build altar dia give our Papa and offer burnt offerings and peace offerings. So our Papa answer di plea for di land, and di plague stop from Israel.
