29 ¹Person wey dem dey correct plenty times but e still refuse to hear go suddenly break finish wey no fit heal again. ²When correct-and-holy people dey flourish, di people dey rejoice, but when wicked people dey rule, di people dey groan. ³Man wey love wisdom dey bring joy give im papa, but person wey dey follow ashawo dey waste im money. ⁴Through justice king dey give land stability, but person wey greedy for bribe dey scatter am. ⁵Man wey dey sweet-mouth im neighbor dey spread net for im own leg. ⁶Bad man dey trap by im own sin, but correct-and-holy people dey sing and rejoice. ⁷Correct-and-holy people dey care about justice for poor people, but wicked people no get dat kind understanding. ⁸People wey dey mock dey set city on fire, but wise people dey cool di anger down. ⁹When wise man go court with foolish person, di foolish one go dey vex and dey laugh am, and peace no dey. ¹⁰People wey dey thirst for blood dey hate person wey no get blame, and dem dey find way to kill di correct-hearted person. ¹¹Foolish person dey pour out all im anger, but wise man dey hold am back and dey keep imself calm. ¹²If ruler dey hear lie, all im officials go turn wicked. ¹³Poor man and di person wey dey oppress get dis one thing together: our Papa dey give eye-sight give di two of dem. ¹⁴If king dey judge poor people with fairness, im throne go stand strong forever. ¹⁵Cane and word of correction dey give wisdom, but pikin wey dem leave to imself dey bring shame give im mama. ¹⁶When wicked people dey flourish, bad-bad wey dem dey do dey flourish too, but correct-and-holy people go see how di wicked one go fall. ¹⁷Discipline your pikin, and e go give you peace; e go bring sweetness give your heart. ¹⁸Where revelation no dey, di people dey run wild, but blessing dey for person wey dey keep di law. ¹⁹You no fit correct servant with word alone; even though e understand, e no go obey. ²⁰You see man wey dey rush im mouth?
