Elisha Promise Say Bread Go Dey by Tomorrow

Elisha promise say flour go sell for normal price by tomorrow, and the king officer laugh am. Four men wey get skin disease, wey reason say dem go die anyhow, find say the Aramean camp don empty, because our Papa make dem hear sound of army, and dem stop to dey chop go carry the news. The man wey laugh, people match am die.

Chapter 7.

Elisha talk say, “Hear di word of our Papa. Na dis one our Papa talk: By dis same time tomorrow, dem go sell seven quart of fine flour for four ounce of silver, and fourteen quart of barley for four ounce of silver, for di gate of Samaria.”

Den di officer wey di king dey lean im hand for im shoulder answer di man of our Papa say, “See, even if our Papa open windows for di heavens, dis one fit happen?” Elisha reply say, “You go see am with your own eye, but you no go chop any from am.”

Di Papa Scatter di Aramean Army

Four men wey get skin disease dey for di gate entrance, and dem talk to each other say, “Why we go siddon here until we die? If we talk say, ‘Make we enter di city,’ hunger dey there, and we go die. If we stay here, we go die too. So come, make we cross go di Aramean camp. If dem spare us, we go live; if dem kill us, we go die.”

So for evening time when e don dark small, dem stand up go di Aramean camp. When dem reach di edge, dem no see anybody there. Because di Sovereign Papa don make di Aramean army hear di sound of chariot and horse, di sound of one big army, so dem talk to each other say, “See, di king of Israel don hire di kings of di Hittite people and of Egypt to attack us!” So dem stand up run for evening time, leave dem tent, horse, and donkey. Dem leave di camp as e dey and run to save dem life. When dis men wey get skin disease reach di edge of di camp, dem enter one tent, chop and drink, den carry silver, gold, and cloth go hide dem. Dem come back, enter anoda tent, carry things from am, and hide dose ones too. Dem talk to each other say, “Wetin we dey do no correct. Na day of good news be dis, and we dey keep am for ourself. If we wait until morning light, punishment go find us. Now come, make we go sharp-sharp go tell di king household.”

So dem come call di people wey dey watch di city gate, dem report say: “We go di Aramean camp—nobody dey there, no sound of human being, na only horse and donkey wey dem tie, and di tent just as e dey.”

Di gatekeepers shout di news, and dem report am inside di king household.

For dat night di king stand up tell im officials say, “Make I tell una di plan wey di Aramean people get against us. Dem know say hunger dey kill us, so dem don leave di camp go hide for di field, dem dey think say: When dem comot from di city, we go catch dem alive and enter inside.”

One of im servant talk say, “Make some men carry five of di horse wey remain for di city. Dem go end up like all di Israel people wey remain here—like all di Israel people wey don die already. Make we send dem go see.”

So dem carry two chariot with horse, and di king send dem go follow di Aramean army, e talk say, “Go, find out.” Dem follow dem go reach Jordan; di whole road full with cloth and things wey di Aramean people throway as dem dey rush. Di messengers come back tell di king.

Di people comot go loot di Aramean camp. So dem sell seven quart of fine flour for four ounce of silver, and fourteen quart of barley for four ounce of silver, just as our Papa don talk. Di king don put di captain wey e dey lean im hand for im shoulder in charge of di gate; di crowd trample am there, and e die—just as di man of our Papa don talk when di king come down go meet am. E happen just as di man of our Papa tell di king say: “Around dis time tomorrow for Samaria gate, dem go sell fourteen quart of barley for four ounce of silver, and seven quart of fine flour for four ounce of silver.” Di officer don answer di man of our Papa say, “See, even if our Papa open windows for di heavens, dis kind thing fit happen?” And e reply say, “You go see am with your own eye, but you no go chop any from am.” Na exactly dis one happen: di people trample am for di gateway, and e die.
