8 ¹Elisha don tell di woman wey im bring im pikin back to life, “Rise up, go, you and your household, and stay for anywhere wey you fit stay, because our Papa don call for famine, wey go come di land for seven years.”

²Di woman rise up, do wetin di man of our Papa talk, and go, she and her household, go live for Philistine land seven years. ³Afta seven years di woman come back from Philistia and go beg di king for her house and land. ⁴Di king dey talk with Gehazi, servant of di man of our Papa: “Tell me all di big-big things wey Elisha don do.” ⁵As Gehazi dey tell di king how Elisha bring dead person back to life, di woman wey im bring im pikin back to life come dey cry to di king for her house and field. Gehazi talk, “My oga di king, na dis woman be am, and na dis be her pikin wey Elisha bring back to life.”

⁶Di king ask di woman, and she explain. So he give her one official: “Give her back everything wey be hers, plus all di field produce from di day wey she comot di land reach now.”

Di Papa Show How Hazael Go Rise

⁷Elisha come Damascus. Ben-hadad king of Aram dey sick, and dem tell am, “Di man of God don come here.”

And he do wetin be evil for di eyes of our Papa. ¹⁹But our Papa no gree destroy Judah, because of David im servant, as he promise say he go give lamp to David and to im sons forever.

²⁰For im days Edom rebel against di rule of Judah and set up dem own king. ²¹Joram cross go Zair with all im chariots, rise for night, strike di Edomite people wey surround am and di chariot commanders, but di soldiers run go dem tents. ²²Reach today Edom don rebel against di rule of Judah.
