⁹Di same way, make di women dress well, with modesty and self-control, no be with plait-plait hair, gold, pearl, or clothes wey cost, ¹⁰but with good work, as e dey right for women wey talk say dem dey fear our Papa. ¹¹Make a woman learn quietly, with full submission. ¹²I no dey allow a woman to teach or get authority over a man; instead, make she stay quiet. ¹³Because na Adam dem form first, before Eve. ¹⁴And no be Adam dem deceive, but na di woman dem deceive, and she come turn transgressor. ¹⁵But she go save through childbearing, if dem continue for faith, love, holiness, with self-control. ^a a v15 Di pronoun change from 'she' go 'they' — as e dey for di original — e fit dey point to women generally wey continue for dis virtues.
