Psalm wey David sing, to make person remember.
38 1 O my Papa, no rebuke me for your anger, no discipline me for your hot vex. 2 Because your arrows don sink deep enter me, and your hand don come down hard on top me. 3 No health dey for my body because of your anger; no soundness dey for my bones because of my sin.
4 Because my iniquities don rise pass my head; like heavy load, dem too heavy for me. 5 My wounds dey stink and dey rotten because of my foolishness. 6 I bend and bow down low; all day I dey waka dey mourn. 7 Because my sides dey burn like fire, and no soundness dey for my flesh.
8 I don numb and dem don crush me finish; I dey groan because of the wahala for my heart. 9 O Sovereign Papa, all my longing dey before you, and my sighing no hide from you. 10 My heart dey beat fast, my strength don fail me; even the light of my eyes don comot from me. 11 My friends and my paddy dey stay far from my suffering, and my near family dey stand far off.
12 Those wey dey find my life dey set their trap; those wey dey find my harm dey talk about ruin and dey plan deceit all day long. 13 But I be like deaf man wey no fit hear, like person wey no fit talk and no go open im mouth. 14 I don become like man wey no dey hear, wey no get answer for im mouth. 15 But na for you, my Papa, I dey wait; na you go answer, O my Sovereign Papa.
16 Because I talk say, “Make dem never gloat over me—those wey dey boast over me when my leg slip.” 17 Because I ready to fall, and my pain dey always before me. 18 I confess my iniquity; my sin dey trouble me. 19 But my enemies dey strong and full of power, and plenty na those wey hate me for nothing.
20 Those wey dey pay me evil for the good wey I do dey accuse me because I dey follow wetin good. 21 No forsake me, my Papa; no stand far from me, my Papa. 22 Hurry come help me, O Sovereign Papa, my salvation.
