Psalms 37

37 ¹ No dey worry yourself because of bad people; no let your eye dey do you because of dem wey dey do wrong, ² because like grass dem go soon dry, and like green plant dem go fade away.

³ Trust our Papa and do good; stay for di land and dey do faithful work. ⁴ Make our Papa be your sweetness, and E go give you wetin your heart dey want.

⁵ Put your way for our Papa hand; trust am, and E go do am. ⁶ E go bring your correct-and-holy way come out like light, and your justice like afternoon sun wey dey shine well well.

⁷ Cool down for front of our Papa and wait am with patience; no dey worry because of di person wey dey prosper for im way, because of di man wey dey carry out wicked plan.

⁸ Comot for anger and drop your vex; no dey worry—e dey only carry person go bad way. ⁹ Because dem go cut off bad people, but dem wey dey wait our Papa go inherit di land.

¹⁰ Small time again, and di wicked one no go dey again; even if you look im place well well, e no go dey there. ¹¹ But dem wey get humble heart go inherit di land and go dey enjoy plenty peace. ^a a v11 Jesus carry dis promise put inside im Beatitudes: “Blessing dey for dem wey get humble heart, because dem go inherit di earth” (Matthew 5:5).

¹² Di wicked one dey plan bad against di correct-and-holy person and dey grind im teeth for am; ¹³ but di Papa wey be Oga over all dey laugh am, because our Papa see say di wicked man im day dey come.

¹⁴ Di wicked people don draw sword and bend dem bow to bring down di poor and di one wey dey need help, to kill dem wey dem way dey straight. ¹⁵ Dem own sword go pierce dem own heart, and dem bow go break.

¹⁶ Di small wey di correct-and-holy person get better pass di plenty wey many wicked people get; ¹⁷ because dem go break di power of di wicked, but our Papa dey hold di correct-and-holy people up.

¹⁸ Our Papa know di days of dem wey no get blame, and dem inheritance go last forever. ¹⁹ Shame no go catch dem for bad time; for time of hunger dem go belle full.

²⁰ But di wicked go perish, and di enemies of our Papa go disappear like di flower for field—like smoke dem go just vanish comot.

²¹ Di wicked one dey borrow and no dey pay back, but di correct-and-holy person get kind heart and dey give. ²² Because dem wey E bless go inherit di land, but dem wey E curse, dem go cut off.

³² Di wicked one dey hide dey wait for di correct-and-holy person and dey find way to kill am; ³³ but our Papa no go leave am for im hand or let dem judge am guilty when dem carry am go court.

³⁴ Wait our Papa and hold im way, and E go lift you up make you inherit di land; you go dey look when dem cut off di wicked.

³⁵ I don see one wicked, no-mercy man wey dey spread imself like native tree wey dey grow fine well well; ³⁶ but e pass away, and sharp sharp e no dey again; I look for am, but I no fit see am.

³⁷ Watch di person wey no get blame and observe di one wey dey straight, because future dey for di man of peace. ³⁸ But dem go destroy dem wey dey break law finish; di future of di wicked go cut off.

³⁹ Di salvation of di correct-and-holy people na from our Papa; na E be dem strong place for time of trouble. ⁴⁰ Our Papa dey help dem and dey rescue dem; E dey rescue dem from di wicked and dey save dem, because dem dey run go hide for inside am.
