1 Kings 19

19 ¹Ahab tell Jezebel everytin wey Elijah do, and how e take sword kill all di prophets. ²Jezebel send messenger go meet Elijah: "Make di gods do me so, and even pass am, if by dis time tomorrow I no make your life be like one of dem prophets."

³Fear catch Elijah, so e stand up run comot to save im life, reach Beersheba wey dey Judah, and leave im servant for there. ⁴E waka one day journey enter di wilderness, sidon under one broom tree wey stand alone, and beg say make e die. "E don do, my Papa," na so e talk. "Take my life; I no better pass my papa dem."

⁵E lie down sleep under di broom tree. One angel touch am talk say, "Stand up chop."

⁶E look, and for im head side na cake wey dem bake for hot stone, and one jar water dey there. E chop, e drink, and e lie down again. ⁷Di angel of our Papa come back di second time, touch am, talk say, "Stand up chop—di journey too much for you."

⁸So e stand up, chop and drink, and dat food give am power wey make am waka forty days and forty nights reach Horeb, di mountain of our Papa.

Di Papa Soft Whisper

⁹For there e enter one cave spend di night. Then di word of our Papa come meet am: "Wetin you dey do here, Elijah?"

Di Papa Call Elisha
