4Sing to our Papa, una wey be im faithful people, and give thanks to im holy name. 5Because im vex dey last small time only, but im favour dey last for whole life; person fit dey cry through di night, but joy dey come for morning.
6When my mind rest, I talk say, “Notin go ever shake me.” 7My Papa, na by your favour you make my mountain stand strong; but when you hide your face, fear catch me.
8Na you, my Papa, I call; na to di Sovereign Papa I beg for mercy: 9“Wetin I go gain if dem shut my mouth, if I go down enter di pit? Di dust go fit praise you? E go fit talk about your faithful heart? 10Hear me, my Papa, and show me mercy; my Papa, be di one wey dey help me.”
11You turn my mourning to dance; you comot my mourning cloth and dress me with joy, 12so that my heart fit sing your praise and no keep quiet. My Papa, I go give you thanks forever.
