Chapter 30.

I go lift you high, my Papa, because you pull me up, and you no let my enemies laugh me for shame.

My Papa, I cry give you make you help me, and you heal me. My Papa, you bring my soul comot from di grave; you keep me alive, and you no let me go down enter di pit.

Sing to our Papa, una wey be im faithful people, and give thanks to im holy name. Because im vex dey last small time rai, but im favor dey last person whole life; cry fit last through di night, but joy dey come for morning.

For di time wey I feel safe, I talk say, “Nothing go ever shake me.” My Papa, na by your favor you make my mountain stand strong; but wen you hide your face, my heart just scatter.

Na you, my Papa, I call; na to di Sovereign Papa I beg for mercy: “Wetin I go gain if dem shut my mouth, if I go down enter di pit? Di dust fit praise you? E fit talk about how you dey faithful?” Hear me, my Papa, and show me mercy; my Papa, be di one wey dey help me.

You turn my mourning to dance; you comot my mourning cloth, and you dress me with gladness, so that my heart fit sing your praise and no keep quiet. My Papa, I go give you thanks forever.
