Isaiah 33

33 ¹Woe to you, you wey dey destroy, wey nobody neva destroy; you wey dey betray, wey nobody neva betray! Wen you don finish to dey destroy, dem go destroy you; wen you stop to dey betray, dem go betray you.

²Our Papa, show us grace; we dey wait for you. Be our strength every morning, our salvation for di time of trouble. ³Wen your voice thunder, di people dey run comot; wen you rise up, di nations dey scatter. ⁴Dem gada your loot di way locust dey gada; like locust wey dey swarm, people dey rush am.

⁵Our Papa dey lifted high, for im dey stay for di high place; im don full Zion with justice and correct-and-holy way. ⁶Im go be di sure foundation of your times, plenty salvation, wisdom, and knowledge; to fear our Papa na Zion im treasure.

⁷Look, their brave men dey cry for di streets; di messengers of peace dey weep bitterly. ⁸Di highways don empty; travelers don disappear from di road. Dem don break di Covenant, dem don despise im cities, dem no dey respect anybody. ⁹Di land dey mourn and dey waste away; Lebanon dey shame and dey wither; Sharon don turn like di desert, and Bashan and Carmel dey shake off their leaves.

Who among us fit stay with di flames wey no dey ever end?” ¹⁵Di person wey dey waka for correct-and-holy way and dey talk wetin dey right, wey dey refuse gain wey come from cheating and dey keep im hand from collecting bribe, wey dey block im ears from plans of bloodshed and dey shut im eyes from evil, ¹⁶na dis person go stay for di high places, wey im hiding place go be di mountain fortresses; dem go give am im bread, and im water no go finish.

¹⁷Your eyes go see di king for im beauty; dem go see land wey stretch go far away. ¹⁸Your heart go think about di terror wey dey before: “Where di one wey dey count? Where di one wey dey weigh di tribute? Where di one wey dey count di towers?” ¹⁹You no go see dose proud people again, people wey their talk too strange to follow, wey dey stammer for tongue wey you no fit understand.

²⁰Look Zion, di city of our appointed feasts! Your eyes go see Jerusalem, home wey get peace, tent wey dem no go move, wey dem no go ever pull im stakes comot and wey im cords no go ever break. ²¹But for there our Papa for im majesty go be for us a place of wide rivers and streams, where no boat with oars fit go and no big ship fit pass. ²²For our Papa na our judge, our Papa na di one wey give us law, our Papa na our king; im go save us.
