1 Corinthians 2

2 ¹When I come meet una, my brothers and sisters, I no take fine-fine words or wisdom take talk di testimony of our Papa. ²Because I don decide say I no go sabi anyting for una middle, except Jesus Christ, and how dem nail am for cross. ³And I come meet una as person wey weak, wey dey fear, and wey dey shake well-well. ⁴My message and my preaching no lean on words wey wisdom take dey sweet-talk person, but e lean on proof of the Holy Spirit and of power, ⁵so dat una faith no go stand on human wisdom but on di power of our Papa.

⁶We dey talk wisdom for middle of dose wey don mature—no be wisdom of dis age, nor of di rulers of dis age, wey dey fade comot. ⁷No o, we dey talk di wisdom of our Papa, one mystery wey dem hide, wey our Papa plan before time even start, for our own glory. ⁸None of di rulers of dis age sabi am; if dem for sabi, dem no for nail di Oga of glory for cross. ⁹As dem write am: “Wetin no eye don see, wetin no ear don hear, and wetin no enter human heart—na dis kind tins our Papa don prepare for dose wey love am.”

¹⁰But our Papa don show us dem tru di Spirit; because di Spirit dey search all tins, even di deep-deep tins of our Papa. ¹¹Who sabi wetin dey person mind except di person own spirit wey dey inside am? Na so too, nobody sabi wetin dey our Papa mind except di Spirit of our Papa. ¹²We no receive di spirit of dis world, but di Spirit wey come from our Papa, so dat we fit sabi di tins wey our Papa give us free. ¹³Na dis we dey talk, no be for words wey human wisdom dey teach but for words wey di Spirit dey teach, as we dey explain spiritual tins to spiritual people. ¹⁴Di person wey no get di Spirit no dey accept di tins wey come from di Spirit of our Papa; na foolishness e be for am, and e no fit understand am, because e need spiritual understanding. ¹⁵Di person wey be spiritual fit judge and understand all tins, but nobody fit judge am. ¹⁶Because “who don sabi wetin dey our Papa mind, wey go fit teach am?” But we get di mind of Christ.
