Matthew 19

19 ¹When Jesus finish talk dis words, e comot for Galilee go di area of Judea, for di oda side of Jordan river. ²Plenty crowd follow am, and e heal dem for there.

³Some Pharisee come meet am to test am, dem ask, “E dey right for man to divorce im wife for any reason wey e like?”

⁴E answer say, “Una neva read am say our Papa, wey make dem for di beginning, make dem male and female, ⁵and e talk say, ‘Na why man go leave im papa and mama and hold tight to im wife, and di two go become one flesh’? ⁶So dem no be two again but one flesh; so make nobody separate wetin our Papa don join.”

⁷Dem talk to am say, “Then why Moses command say make man give divorce paper and send am comot?”

⁸E tell dem, “Moses allow una divorce una wife dem because una heart hard, but e no be so from di beginning. ⁹I dey tell una: anybody wey divorce im wife—except for sexual sin—and marry anoda one, don commit adultery.”

¹⁰Di disciple dem talk to am say, “If na so e be between husband and wife, e beta make person no marry at all.”

¹¹E talk to dem say, “No be everybody fit accept dis word—na only di people wey Papa give am. ¹²Some eunuch dem born so from dem mama belle; some eunuch dem, na oda people make dem so; and some eunuch dem, na demself make demself so because of di kingdom of our Papa. Make di person wey fit accept dis thing, accept am.”

Jesus Welcome di Small Small Pikin Dem

¹³Then dem carry small small pikin come meet am so dat e go fit lay hand for dem and pray, but di disciple dem rebuke di people wey dey bring dem.

¹⁴But Jesus talk say, “Make di small small pikin dem come meet me—no stop dem, because di kingdom of our Papa na for people wey be like dem.”

¹⁵And e lay im hand for dem and comot from there.

Di One Thing Wey Remain For Am

¹⁶For dat moment, one man come meet am and ask, “Teacher, wetin good I go do to get life wey no dey end?”

¹⁷E talk to am say, “Why you dey ask me about wetin good? Na only One good. If you wan enter life, keep di commandment dem.”

¹⁸“Which ones?” di man ask. Jesus talk say, “No kill person, no commit adultery, no tief, no give false testimony, ¹⁹honour your papa and mama, and love your neighbour like yourself.”

²⁰Di young man talk to am say, “All dis ones I don keep. Wetin still remain for me?”

²¹Jesus tell am, “If you wan complete, go, sell wetin you get and give di poor people—you go get treasure for heaven—then come, follow me.”

²²When di young man hear dis, e comot dey grieve, because e get plenty wealth.

²³Jesus talk to im disciple dem say, “True true, I dey tell una: e go hard for rich person to enter our Papa kingdom. ²⁴I dey tell una again: camel go pass through needle eye more easy pass how rich person go enter our Papa kingdom.”

²⁵When di disciple dem hear dis, dem shock well well and ask, “Who then fit be saved?”

²⁶Jesus look dem and talk say, “Dis thing no possible for people, but everything possible with our Papa.”

²⁷Then Peter talk to am say, “See, we don leave everything and follow you. So wetin we go get?”

²⁸Jesus tell dem, “True true: for di renewal, when di Pikin of Man go sit for im throne of glory, una wey follow me go also sit for twelve throne, dey judge di twelve tribe of Israel.

²⁹“Everybody wey don leave house or broda or sister or papa or mama or pikin or farm land because of my name go receive one hundred times more and inherit life wey no dey end. ³⁰But plenty wey dey first go last, and plenty wey dey last go first.”
