Genesis 45

45 ¹Joseph no fit hold imsef again for front of everybody wey stand near am, so e shout say, "Make everybody comot for my front!" Nobody stay with am wey Joseph make imsef known to im brothers. ²E cry so tay the Egypt people hear am, and Pharaoh im household too hear am. ³Joseph tell im brothers say, "Na me be Joseph! My papa still dey alive?" But im brothers no fit answer am, because fear catch dem well-well for im present.

⁴Joseph tell im brothers say, "Abeg, come near me." Dem come near. E say, "Na me be your brother Joseph, wey una sell go Egypt.

⁵Now make una no worry or vex with unasef say una sell me come here, because na our Papa send me go una front to save life. ⁶Hunger don dey the land for two years now; five more years remain wey nobody go plough or harvest. ⁷Our Papa send me go una front to keep remnant for una for earth, and to keep una alive as plenty people wey survive. ⁸So now, no be una send me come here, na our Papa—na im make me papa to Pharaoh, oga of all im household, and ruler over all the land of Egypt. ^a a v8 Joseph call im slavery say na our Papa im providence — the brothers dem wickedness and our Papa im redeeming plan dey run through the same event.

⁹Hurry, go up meet my papa, tell am say: Your son Joseph talk say: Our Papa don make me oga of all Egypt. Come down meet me; no delay. ¹⁰You go live for Goshen, near me—you, your children, your children children, your sheep, your cattle, and everything wey you get. ¹¹I go take care of you for there—five years of hunger still remain—so that you, your household, and everything wey you get no go fall into poverty. ¹²Una eye dey see, and my brother Benjamin eye dey see, say na my own mouth dey talk to una. ¹³Tell my papa all the honour wey I get for Egypt, and everything wey una don see. After that im brothers begin talk with am.

¹⁶The news reach Pharaoh im house say: "Joseph brothers don come." E sweet Pharaoh and im officials. ¹⁷Pharaoh tell Joseph say, "Talk to your brothers say: do this—load una animals, go, return go the land of Canaan. ¹⁸Take una papa and una households and come meet me. I go give una the best of Egypt land, and una go chop the fatness of the land. ¹⁹Na order I dey give una: tell dem say, 'Do this—take wagons from Egypt for una children and wives, bring una papa, and come. ²⁰No worry about una property—the best of all Egypt land na una own.'"

²¹The sons of Israel do so; Joseph give dem wagons as Pharaoh order, and give dem food for the road. ²²E give each of dem one change of cloth, but Benjamin, e give am 300 pieces of silver and five changes of cloth. ²³E send im papa ten donkeys wey carry the best of Egypt, and ten female donkeys wey carry grain, bread, and food for im journey. ²⁴E send im brothers commot; as dem dey go, e tell dem say, "No quarrel for the way."

²⁵So dem leave Egypt come meet dem papa Jacob for Canaan. ²⁶Dem tell am say, "Joseph still dey alive—e be ruler over all Egypt!" But im heart just cold; e no believe dem. ²⁷But when dem tell am all the words wey Joseph talk give dem, and e see the wagons wey Joseph send to carry am, dem papa Jacob im spirit come alive again. ²⁸Israel say, "E don do! Joseph my son still dey alive. I go go see am before I die."
