7 ¹For di first year wey Belshazzar dey rule as king of Babylon, Daniel dream dream and see visions for im head as e lie down for im bed. E write di dream, e summarise di matter dem.

²Daniel talk say: For my night vision I see di four winds of heaven dey shake di big sea well well. ³And four big beasts comot from inside di sea, each one different from di oda ones.

⁴Di first one be like lion, wey get eagle wing. I dey look until dem tear im wing dem comot; dem lift am from ground, put am stand for two leg like human being, and dem give am human being heart.

⁵One second beast show, e be like bear, e raise up for one side, three rib dey im mouth between im teeth. Dem tell am say, ‘Get up, chop plenty flesh.’

⁶After dis I look: anoda beast, e be like leopard, wey get four bird wing for im back, four head, and dem give am authority to rule.

⁷After dis, for my night vision, one fourth beast show—e dey fearful, e dey make person shake, e strong pass wetin person fit imagine, e get big iron teeth. E chop, e crush, and e trample di rest for ground, e different from every beast wey dey before am, and e get ten horn. ⁸As I dey look di horn dem, anoda one—one small horn—rise among dem, and three of di first horn dem, dem uproot dem before am. E get eyes like human being eyes and mouth wey dey blow big-big mouth.

⁹As I dey look, dem set thrones for dem place, and di Ancient of Days, our Papa, sidon for im seat. Im cloth white like snow; di hair for im head be like pure wool. Im throne dey blaze with fire, and im wheel dem dey burn well well. ^a a v9 Di Ancient of Days wey sidon for di throne of judgement na our Papa — di same throne-vision wey John come see later for Revelation. ¹⁰River of fire dey flow comot, e dey run from before am. ¹¹I dey look because of di big-big mouth wey di horn dey blow; I dey look until dem kill di beast, dem destroy im body and give am to di fire wey dey burn. ¹²Di rest of di beasts dem lose dia authority but dem allow dem still dey alive for small time and season wey dem don set.

¹³For my night vision I look, and see, before me, one wey be like son of man—Jesus, dey come with di cloud of heaven. E come near di Ancient of Days, our Papa, and dem lead am enter im presence. ^b b v13 Jesus take dis very vision as imsef — “una go see di Pikin of Man dey come for top di cloud of heaven” (Mark 14:62). Here di Pikin come before di Papa and collect kingdom wey no go end. ¹⁴And dem give am authority, glory, and kingdom, so dat all people, nation, and language go serve am. Im rule na rule wey no go end wey no go pass away, and im kingdom na one wey dem no go ever destroy.

¹⁵Me, Daniel, my spirit worry me, and di visions wey pass for my mind make me fear. ¹⁶I come near one of dem wey dey stand there and ask am di truth about all dis matter. E tell me, e reveal wetin e mean.

¹⁷‘Dis four big beasts na four kings wey go rise from di earth. ¹⁸But di holy ones of di Most High, our Papa, go collect and possess di kingdom forever, forever and ever.’

¹⁹Den I wan know di truth about di fourth beast, wey different from all di oda ones—di one wey make person fear pass, iron teeth, bronze claw—wey dey chop, dey crush, and dey trample wetin remain for ground. ²⁰I also wan know about di ten horn wey dey for im head, and di oda horn wey come up wey three fall before am—di horn wey get eyes and mouth wey dey blow big mouth, wey come look big pass di rest. ²¹As I dey look, dis horn dey make war against di holy ones and e dey defeat dem, ²²until di Ancient of Days, our Papa, come, dem give judgement for di holy ones of di Most High, our Papa, and di time reach for di holy ones to possess di kingdom.

²³E talk say: ‘Di fourth beast na fourth kingdom for earth, wey no be like all di oda kingdom dem. E go chop, trample, and crush di whole earth. ²⁴Di ten horn: ten kings go rise from dis kingdom. After dem anoda one go rise, wey different from di first ones, and e go bring three kings down. ²⁵E go talk word against di Most High, our Papa, e go oppress di holy ones of di Most High, our Papa, and e go try change di times wey dem don set and di law. Dem go hand di holy ones give am for one time, times, and half a time. ^c c v25 ‘One time, times, and half a time’ mean three and half years: one year + two years + half year.

²⁶But di court go sidon for judgement, and dem go take im rule comot, consume am and destroy am forever. ²⁷Kingdom, rule, and greatness of all di kingdom dem wey dey under heaven, dem go give am to di people, di holy ones of di Most High, our Papa. Im kingdom na kingdom wey no get end; all rulers go serve am and obey am.’
