“Go tell my servant David sey: Na dis be wetin your Papa talk: ‘Na you go build house for me wey I go live inside? I neva live inside house since di time wey I bring Israel comot from Egypt reach now, but I dey move from place to place, tent na im be my dwelling place.’ For anywhere wey I move wit all Israel, I ever talk one word to any leader wey I command make e shepherd my people sey, ‘Why you no build cedar house for me?’ Now tell my servant David sey: Na dis be wetin di Papa of heaven army dem talk: ‘I take you comot for di field wey sheep dey chop grass, for wia you dey follow di flock, make you rule my people Israel. I dey wit you for anywhere wey you go, and I don cut off all your enemy dem for your front. I go make your name big, like di biggest name for di whole earth. I go provide place for my people Israel and plant dem for dia, make dem live wit peace for dia own place, nobody go disturb dem. Wicked men wey dey use force no go oppress dem again like before, since di time wey I put judge dem over my people Israel. I go give you rest from all your enemy dem. Your Papa dey tell you sey na him go make house for you. When your days don end and you rest wit your ancestor dem, I go raise up your pikin wey go come afta you, wey comot from your own body, and I go establish im kingdom. E go build house for my name, and I go establish di throne of im kingdom forever. I go be im Papa, and e go be my pikin. When e do sin, I go correct am wit di kind rod wey person dey use, wit di kind beating wey human hand dey give, but my Covenant love no go leave am, di way I take am comot from Saul, wey I comot from your front. Your house and your kingdom go stand forever for my front; dem go establish your throne forever.’”

Nathan tell David all dis word dem and dis whole vision.

David Give Thanks Before Im Papa

Den King David enter go sidon for front of our Papa, and e talk sey: “Who be me, Sovereign Papa, and wetin be my house, wey you bring me reach dis far? As if dis one still be small tin for your eye, Sovereign Papa, you don talk about di house of your servant reach far into di future. Na so you dey take treat all mankind, Sovereign Papa? Wetin David fit talk again give you? Because you know your servant well-well, O Sovereign Papa. Because of your word and because of your own heart, you don do all dis big-big tin, and you make your servant know am. So you great, Sovereign Papa. Nobody dey like you, and no God dey except you, from everytin wey we don hear wit our own ear. Who dey like your people Israel, di only one nation for earth wey our Papa go out to redeem make dem be im own people, to make name for imself, and to do great and wonderful tin dem for you—as you drive out nation dem and dia gods for front of your people, wey you redeem for yourself from Egypt? You make your people Israel be your own forever, and you, our Papa, come be dia Papa.

And now, our Papa, keep forever di word wey you talk about your servant and im house, and do am as you promise.’ Your name go big forever, and people go talk sey, ‘Di Papa of heaven army dem na God over Israel.’ Di house of your servant David go stand firm for your front. Because you, Papa of heaven army dem, God of Israel, don reveal dis tin to your servant sey: ‘I go build house for you.’ Na im make your servant get mind to pray dis prayer give you.

And now, Sovereign Papa, na you be God, your word dem na true, and you don promise dis good tin to your servant. So now, abeg bless di house of your servant, make e fit last forever for your front. Because you, Sovereign Papa, don talk am, and wit your blessing, di house of your servant go get blessing forever.”
