Our Papa Carry Elijah Go House

Elisha refuse three times to leave Elijah, and e see the fire chariot as our Papa carry am go. E pick the cloak wey fall, e knock the Jordan dey ask where the God of Elijah dey, and e cross go. E heal one spring wey get poison, and e curse some boys wey dey laugh am, and wetin happen bad well well.

Chapter 2.

As our Papa dey ready to carry Elijah go up for heaven inside whirlwind, Elijah and Elisha comot from Gilgal. Elijah tell Elisha, “Abeg stay for here; our Papa send me go Bethel.” Elisha talk, “As our Papa dey alive, and as you dey alive, I no go leave you.” So dem waka go down to Bethel.

Di prophets wey dey Bethel comot come meet Elisha and ask am, “You know say today our Papa go carry your master comot from ontop your head?” “Yes, I know,” e talk. “Make you keep quiet.”

Elijah talk, “Elisha, abeg stay for here; our Papa send me go Jericho.” E answer, “As our Papa dey alive, and as you dey alive, I no go leave you.” So dem waka go Jericho.

Di prophets group wey dey Jericho come near Elisha, dey ask, “You know say our Papa go carry your master comot from you today?” “Yes, I know,” e talk. “Make you keep quiet.”

Elijah talk give am, “Abeg stay for here; our Papa don send me go di River Jordan.” E talk, “As our Papa dey alive, and as you dey alive, I no go leave you.” So di two of dem waka dey go.

Fifty men from di prophets’ group go stand dey look dem from far, while di two of dem stand for di side of di River Jordan. Elijah take im cloak, roll am, hit di water, and e split for both side; di two of dem cross ontop dry ground. As dem don cross, Elijah tell Elisha, “Ask wetin I go do for you before dem carry me comot from you.” Elisha talk, “Abeg make I inherit double portion of your spirit.”

“You don ask hard tin,” Elijah talk. “If you see me as dem carry me comot from you, e go be your own; but if you no see, e no go be so.”

As dem dey waka dey talk, chariot wey dey burn fire and horses wey dey burn fire come separate dem two, and Elijah go up to heaven inside whirlwind. Elisha see am come cry, “My papa, my papa! Israel im chariots and horsemen!” Then e no see am again. E grab im clothes come tear am for two.

E pick up Elijah im cloak wey fall down, go back, come stand for di bank of di River Jordan. E take Elijah im cloak wey fall down, hit di water, come ask, “Where our Papa dey, di God of Elijah?” E hit am; di water divide for right and left, and Elisha cross go over.

Di prophets wey dey Jericho, wey dey opposite am, see am come talk, “Elijah im spirit don rest ontop Elisha.” Dem come meet am, dey bow reach ground for im front. “Look,” dem talk, “your servants get fifty strong men. Make dem go find your master—maybe di Spirit of our Papa carry am up come drop am for some mountain or inside some valley.” “No,” Elisha talk, “no send dem.”

Dem press am until shame catch am to refuse. “Send dem,” e talk. So dem send fifty men, wey find am for three days but dem no see am.

When dem come back to Elisha, wey still dey Jericho, e tell dem, “No be I tell una say make una no go?”

Our Papa Heal Jericho Water

Di people of di city tell Elisha, “Look, our oga, dis town sidon well, as you see am, but di water bad and di land no dey bring anytin.”

“Bring me new bowl,” e talk, “and put salt inside am.” Dem bring am give am.

E go out to di spring, throw salt inside, come talk, “Na wetin our Papa talk be dis: I don heal dis water; e no go cause death or barren land again.”

And di water don remain clean reach today, according to di word wey Elisha don talk.

From dia Elisha go up to Bethel. As e dey waka for di road, small boys come from di city come dey mock am: “Go up, bald head! Go up, bald head!” E turn, look dem, come curse dem for our Papa name. Two bears then comot from di bush come tear forty-two of di boys. And Elisha waka go Mount Carmel, and from dia e go back to Samaria.
