12 1Now, my brothers and sisters, about di spiritual gifts, I no want make una dey blind for dis matter. 2Una know say, back for di time wey una no know di Papa, dem dey carry una comot go follow idol wey no fit talk, anyhow wey dem lead una. 3So I want make una know: nobody wey dey talk by di Holy Spirit fit say, “Curse dey on Jesus,” and nobody fit say, “Jesus na Oga,” except by di Holy Spirit.
4Now, gifts dey come for different-different kind, but na di same Spirit. 5And service dey for different-different kind, but na di same Oga. 6Di way work dey happen na different-different, but na di same Papa dey work all of dem for everybody. a a v6 For here, Paul call di three Persons together — di same Spirit, di same Oga Jesus, and di same Papa — each one dey work for di one family of gifts. 7Dem give each person di way wey di Holy Spirit dey show imsef, so e go help everybody. 8To one person, di Spirit dey give message of wisdom; to anoda one, message of knowledge, by di same Spirit; 9to anoda one, faith by di same Spirit; to anoda one, gifts of healing by di one Spirit; 10to anoda one, di power to do miracle; to anoda one, prophecy; to anoda one, to sabi separate spirit from spirit; to anoda one, different kind of tongues; to anoda one, to explain wetin di tongues mean. 11Na one and di same Spirit dey do all dis things, and e dey give each person as e take decide.
One Body, Plenty Parts
12For di body na one, but e get plenty parts, and all di plenty parts join to be one body — na so e be for Christ too. 13For dem baptize all of us for one Spirit make we be one body — Jew or Greek, slave or free person — and dem give all of us di one Spirit to drink.
14For di body no be only one part; e be plenty parts. 15If di leg talk say, “Since I no be hand, I no be part of di body” — e still na part of di body. 16And if di ear talk say, “Since I no be eye, I no be part of di body,” e still na part of di body. 17If di whole body na eye, how person go take hear? If e na ear from head to toe, how person go take smell? 18But as e be so, na our Papa put each one of di parts for di body, di way wey e choose. 19If all of dem na only one part, di body for dey where? 20As e be, plenty parts dey, but na one body. 21Di eye no fit tell di hand, “I no need you,” and di head no fit tell di leg, “I no need you.” 22Na di opposite: di parts of di body wey look like say dem weak pass, na dem we no fit do without. 23Di parts of di body wey we tink say dem no get honour reach, na dem we dey dress wit more honour; and di parts wey no fine to show, we dey cover dem wit more respect, 24wey di parts wey fine to show no need. But na our Papa join di body together, e give more honour to di part wey dey lack am, 25so dat di body no go get any split, and di parts go dey care for one anoda di same way. 26If one part dey suffer, all of dem dey suffer together; if dem honour one part, all of dem dey rejoice together.
27Now, una na di body of Christ, and each of una na part of am. 28For di church, na our Papa put dem for order: first, apostle; second, prophet; third, teacher; then miracle; then gifts of healing, helping hand, di power to lead, and different kind of tongues. 29Everybody na apostle? Everybody na prophet? Everybody na teacher? Everybody dey do miracle? 30Everybody get gifts of healing? Everybody dey speak in tongues? Everybody dey explain am? 31But make una run after di gifts wey big pass. And I go show una one way wey pass all of dem.
