8 ¹ O our Papa wey dey rule over everything, how your name dey great for all di earth! You don set your glory on top di heavens. ² From di mouth of small pikin and dem wey still dey suck breast, you don build strong power, because of your enemies, so dat you go shut di mouth of di enemy and di person wey wan take revenge. ³ When I look your heaven, di work wey your fingers make, di moon and di stars wey you don put for dia place, ⁴ wetin be man wey you dey remember am, di pikin of man wey you dey care for am? ^a a v4 Di person wey write Hebrews take dis words point to Jesus — di Pikin of Man wey dem make small pass di angels for small time, den dem crown am with glory and honor (Hebrews 2:6-9). ⁵ But still, you make am small pass di heavenly beings, and you crown am with glory and honor. ⁶ You don give am power to rule over di work wey your hand make; you don put everything under im foot: ⁷ all di sheep and cow, and even di animals wey dey bush, ⁸ di birds wey dey fly for sky, and di fish wey dey inside sea, everything wey dey waka for di road of di sea. ⁹ O our Papa wey dey rule over everything, how your name dey great for all di earth!
