Our Papa Breathe Life Enter Dry Bones
Our Papa put Ezekiel for valley wey full with bones wey dry well well, and ask am whether dem fit live. Ezekiel prophesy and e hear the noise as dem join, get flesh and stand up. Dem be Israel, wey dey talk say their hope don finish. Then two sticks wey get label turn to one for him hand.
37 1Di hand of our Papa come on top me. E carry me comot by di Spirit of our Papa, come set me down for di middle of di valley—e full with bones. 2E lead me go round dem, all around—dem plenty plenty for di valley ground, and dem dry well well.
3E tell me say, “Pikin of man, dis bones fit live?” I talk say, “Oga Papa, na you sabi.”
4Den e tell me say, “Prophesy on top dis bones: Una dry bones, hear di word of our Papa. 5Na dis Oga Papa talk to dis bones: I dey bring breath enter una, and una go live. 6I go put tendon for una body, bring flesh cover una, cover una with skin, put breath inside una, and una go live. Den una go know say na me be una Papa.”
7So I prophesy as dem command me. As I dey prophesy, noise come—rattling sound—and di bones join together, bone to im own bone. 8I look: tendon dey for dem body, flesh don grow cover dem, skin don cover dem finish—but breath no dey inside dem.
9E tell me say, “Prophesy to di breath; prophesy, pikin of man, come tell di breath: Oga Papa talk say: Breath, come from di four winds, come breathe enter dis dead people wey dem kill, make dem live.” a a v9 Na di same one word here mean breath, wind, and spirit — so e dey name di four winds, di life-breath wey dem call enter di dead people, and di Spirit wey our Papa pour out for verse 14.
10So I prophesy as e command me, and di breath enter dem, and dem come alive, come stand for dem foot—one huge, huge army.
11E tell me say, “Pikin of man, dis bones na di whole house of Israel. Dem dey talk say, ‘Our bones don dry, and our hope don finish; dem don cut us off complete.’ 12So prophesy come tell dem: Na dis Oga Papa talk: I dey open una graves and I dey bring una comot from una graves, una wey be my children, and I go carry una enter di land of Israel. 13Den una go know say na me be una Papa, wen I open una graves and lift una comot from una graves, una wey be my children. 14And I go put my Spirit inside una, and una go live, and I go settle una for una own land. Den una go know say na me, una Papa, don talk am and don do am, na so our Papa talk.”
Our Papa Join Im Divided Children Back Together
15Di word of our Papa come to me again:
16“And you, pikin of man, take one stick come write on top am say, ‘For Judah and di Israelites, im companions.’ Den take anoda stick come write on top am say, ‘For Joseph—di stick of Ephraim—and all di house of Israel, im companions. 17And join dem together make dem be one single stick, so dem go be one for your hand.’
18“And wen your people ask you say, ‘Wetin you mean by dis things?’ 19tell dem say, Na dis Oga Papa talk: I dey take Joseph im stick, wey dey for Ephraim im hand, with di tribes of Israel wey join am, and I go add dem to Judah im stick, make dem be one stick, so dem go be one for my hand. 20Hold di sticks wey you write on top for your hand, for dem front. 21Den tell dem, Na dis Oga Papa talk: ‘I dey take di Israelites comot from among di nations wia dem go; I go gather dem from all side and bring dem to dem own land. 22I go make dem one nation for di land, on top Israel im mountains, and one king go be king over all of dem. Dem no go be two nations again, dem no go ever divide into two kingdoms again. 23Dem no go make dem self dirty again with dem idols, dem disgusting things, or any of dem rebellion. I go save dem from every place wey dem live and sin, and make dem clean. Dem go be my children, and I go be dem Papa. 24My servant David go be king over dem; all of dem go get one shepherd. Dem go follow my rulings, keep my decrees, and do dem. 25Dem go live for di land wey I give my servant Jacob, wia una fathers live. Dem, dem children, and dem children im own children go live dia forever, and David my servant go be dem prince forever. 26I go make Covenant of peace with dem, Covenant wey no go ever end with dem. I go settle dem and make dem plenty, and put my sanctuary among dem forever. 27My dwelling place go dey over dem; I go be dem Papa, and dem go be my children. 28Den di nations go know say na me be una Papa, wey dey make Israel holy, wen my sanctuary dey among dem forever.’”
