Deuteronomy 19

19 ¹When your Papa go cut off di nations wey dia land your Papa dey give you, and you drive dem comot, come dey live for dia cities and dia houses, ²you go set apart three cities for di land wey your Papa dey give you make you own am. ³Prepare di roads and share di land wey your Papa dey give you make you inherit into three parts, so dat anybody wey kill person fit run go dia. ⁴Na dis be di kind matter of di person wey kill somebody wey go run go dia make e live: person wey hit im neighbor by mistake, wey no bin hate am before, ⁵like as when man go bush wit im neighbor go cut wood, and im hand swing di axe to fell tree, and di iron head comot for di handle come hit im neighbor kill am—dat man fit run go one of dis cities come live. ⁶If e no be so, di person wey dey revenge blood, wit vex dey burn im belle, go fit chase di killer for di long road, catch am, come kill am, even though di man no deserve to die, since e no bin hate im neighbor before. ^a a v6 Di person wey dey revenge blood na di closest family of di person wey dem kill, wey ancient custom dey expect make e chase di killer; di cities of refuge dey guard di person wey kill by mistake from dis revenge until dem do fair judgement. ⁷Naim make I dey command you: set apart three cities for yousef. ⁸If your Papa go make your border big, as e swear give your ancestors, and give you all di land wey e promise dem. ⁹If you carefully keep all dis command wey I dey give you today—love your Papa and always waka for im way—add three more cities join dis three, ¹⁰so dat dem no go pour innocent blood for di land wey your Papa dey give you as inheritance, and no blood-guilt go fall on top you. ¹¹But if man hate im neighbor, hide wait am, attack am, come hit am kill am, den run go one of dis cities, ¹²di elders of im city go send, bring am back, come hand am over give di person wey dey revenge blood make e die. ¹³No pity am; comot di guilt of innocent blood from Israel, so dat e go dey well wit you.

Respect Your Neighbor Boundary

¹⁴No move di boundary marker of your neighbor, wey di people wey come before you set, for di inheritance wey you inherit for di land wey your Papa dey give you make you own am.

¹⁵One witness no fit prove say anybody do any sin or any wrong, whatever di offence be. Matter go only stand on top di word of two or three witness. ¹⁶If witness wey get bad mind come out against person to accuse am of wrongdoing, ¹⁷di two men wey dey inside di quarrel must stand before your Papa, before di priests and di judges wey dey serve for dose days. ¹⁸Di judges must investigate am well well. If di witness na liar, wey dey talk lie against im brother, ¹⁹do am wetin e plan to do im brother; comot di evil from una midst. ²⁰Di rest go hear come dey fear, and dem no go ever do dis kind evil thing again among una. ²¹No pity: life for life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot.
