21 ¹Di king im heart be like stream of water for our Papa hand; e dey turn am go anywhere wey e like. ²Every way wey person dey follow dey look correct for im own eye, but our Papa dey weigh di heart. ³To do wetin correct and wetin just dey sweet our Papa pass sacrifice. ⁴Eye wey dey shine for pride and heart wey dey blow—di lamp of di wicked people—na sin. ⁵Di plan of person wey dey work hard dey carry am reach plenty for sure, but everybody wey dey rush anyhow go end up for poverty. ⁶To gada wealth with tongue wey dey lie na vapour wey dey pass quick, na trap wey dey kill. ⁷Di violence of di wicked people go drag dem comot, because dem refuse to do wetin just. ⁸Di way of di guilty person dey crooked, but di way wey clean person dey take waka dey straight. ⁹E better make you stay for one corner of di roof pass make you share house with wife wey dey fight-fight. ¹⁰Di soul of di wicked person dey crave bad tin; im neighbour no dey see any mercy for im eye. ¹¹When dem punish person wey dey mock, di one wey no sabi go gain sense; when dem teach di wise one, e dey gain knowledge. ¹²Our Papa, di Correct-and-holy One, dey watch di house of di wicked people and e dey bring di wicked people go ruin. ¹³Anybody wey close im ear to di cry of di poor person go also cry out and dem no go answer am. ¹⁴Gift wey person give for secret dey cool anger, and bribe wey dem slip inside cloth dey cool strong vex. ¹⁵When justice happen, e dey be joy for di correct-and-holy people but fear for dem wey dey do evil. ¹⁶Person wey waka comot from di way of understanding go rest for di gada of dead people. ¹⁷Anybody wey love enjoyment go turn poor; anybody wey love wine and oil no go ever rich. ¹⁸Di wicked people dey turn ransom for di correct-and-holy people, and di betrayer for di upright person. ¹⁹E better make you stay for desert land pass make you stay with wife wey dey fight-fight and dey complain. ²⁰Precious treasure and oil dey for di house of di wise person, but foolish person dey chop finish everytin wey e get. ²¹Anybody wey dey chase correct-and-holy way and faithful love go find life, correct-and-holy way, and honour. ²²Wise person dey climb enter di city of di mighty people and e dey bring down di stronghold wey dem dey trust. ²³Anybody wey dey guard im mouth and im tongue dey keep imsef comot from trouble. ²⁴“Mocker” na di name of di proud and arrogant person wey dey act with insolence wey pass mark. ²⁵Di craving of lazy person dey kill am, because im hand refuse to work. ²⁶Di whole day di craving dey grow, but di correct-and-holy people dey give and dem no dey hold back. ²⁷Di sacrifice of di wicked people dey make person feel disgust—how much more when dem bring am with evil mind. ²⁸Witness wey dey lie go perish, but anybody wey dey listen go talk true wey go last. ²⁹Di wicked people dey put bold face, but di upright person dey think well about im ways. ³⁰No wisdom, no understanding, no advice dey wey fit stand against our Papa. ³¹Dem dey prepare di horse ready for di day of battle, but victory na our Papa own.
