Luke 18

18 ¹Den Jesus tell dem one parable about how dem need to dey pray always and no make dem heart weak at all.

²"For one town, judge dey wey no dey fear God, and e no dey respect person. ³One widow for dat town kon dey come am, dey talk say, ‘Judge my case give me against di person wey dey do me wahala.’ ⁴For some time e refuse, but den e kon talk for im mind say, ‘Even though I no dey fear God, and I no dey respect person, ⁵but as dis widow dey worry me so, I go judge her case give am, so dat she no go tire me finish wit di way she dey come come.’"

⁶And di Oga talk say, "Hear wetin di judge wey no dey do justice dey talk. ⁷Abi our Papa no go bring justice for im chosen pipo wey dey cry to am day and night? E go dey delay for dem? ⁸I dey tell una, e go judge dem case give dem sharp-sharp. But wen di Pikin of Man come, e go find faith for ground?"

Di Heart Wey Humble Dey Find Mercy

⁹E tell dis parable too give some pipo wey put dem trust for demself say dem be correct-and-holy, and dem dey look down for everybody else:

¹⁰"Two men go up go di temple go pray, one na Pharisee and di oda one na tax collector. ¹¹Di Pharisee stand kon dey pray about imself: ‘God, I thank you say I no be like oda pipo—thief, pipo wey dey do bad, pipo wey dey commit adultery—or even like dis tax collector.’ ¹²‘I dey fast two times for one week; I dey give one-tenth of everything wey I get.’ ¹³But di tax collector stand far, e no even fit raise im eye look heaven, but e dey beat im chest, dey talk say, ‘our Papa, take mercy for me, na sinner I be.’ ¹⁴I dey tell una, dis man go im house as pesin wey Papa don make correct, no be di oda one. Everybody wey dey raise imself up, dem go bring am low; but di one wey dey humble imself, dem go raise am up."

Di Kingdom of our Papa Na for Pikin-Pikin Dem

¹⁵Pipo sef dey bring dem small pikin-pikin come am make e touch dem, but di disciples see dis kon warn dem comot.

¹⁶But Jesus call di children come am kon talk say, "Make di children come meet me; no stop dem—na pipo like dis di kingdom of our Papa dey be for. ¹⁷True-true I dey tell una: anybody wey no accept di kingdom of our Papa like small pikin, e no go ever enter am."

Di One Thing Wey Money No Fit Buy

¹⁸One ruler ask am say, "Good Teacher, wetin I go do make I inherit life wey no dey end?"

²⁰You sabi di commandments: ‘No commit adultery, No kill person, No thief, No give false testimony, Honor your papa and mama.’"

²²Wen Jesus hear dis, e talk say, "One thing still remain for you: sell everything wey you get, give am di poor pipo, and you go get treasure for heaven; den come, follow me."

²³But wen e hear dis, e kon dey very sad, because e get plenty-plenty money.

²⁴Jesus look am kon talk say, "E hard well-well for pipo wey get money to enter di kingdom of our Papa! ²⁵Because e easy pass for camel to pass through di eye of needle, than for rich pesin to enter di kingdom of our Papa."

²⁶Di pipo wey hear am ask say, "Den who fit save?"

²⁷But e talk say, "Wetin pipo no fit do, our Papa fit do am."

²⁸Den Peter talk say, "See, we don leave our own house kon follow you."

²⁹E talk give dem say, "True-true I dey tell una: nobody dey wey don leave house, wife, brothers, papa and mama, or children because of di kingdom of our Papa, ³⁰wey no go receive plenty times more for dis time now, and life wey no dey end for di world wey dey come."

Di Pikin of Man Dey Go di Cross

³¹E carry di Twelve comot for one side kon talk say, "See, we dey go up go Jerusalem, and everything wey di prophets write about di Pikin of Man go happen finish. ³²Because dem go hand am ova give di Gentile pipo, dem go laugh am, insult am, and spit for am. ³³Dem go flog am kill am, and for di third day e go rise up."

³⁴But dem no understand any of dis; dis word hide from dem, and dem no grab wetin e talk.

Papa im Pikin Make di Blind Man See Again

³⁵As Jesus dey near Jericho, one blind man dey sidon for road side dey beg. ³⁶As e hear crowd dey pass, e ask wetin dey happen. ³⁷Dem tell am say, "Na Jesus of Nazareth dey pass." ³⁸So e shout say, "Jesus, Pikin of David, take mercy for me!" ³⁹Di pipo wey dey front rebuke am kon tell am make e keep quiet, but e cry out even more say, "Pikin of David, take mercy for me!"

⁴⁰Jesus stop kon order say make dem bring am come am. Wen e come near, Jesus ask,

⁴¹"Wetin you want make I do for you?" E talk say, "Oga, make I see again."

⁴²And Jesus talk give am say, "Receive your eye; your faith don save you."

⁴³Sharp-sharp e kon fit see, and e follow Jesus, dey give our Papa glory. All di pipo wey see am praise our Papa too.
