Elihu Talk Again
Elihu argue say human sin and human goodness no change anything for God, wey high pass the clouds; na other people e dey land on. The people wey dem oppress dey cry, but nobody dey ask where their Maker dey, wey dey give song for night. So Job dey multiply words without knowledge.
35 1Den Elihu continue, im talk say: 2"You think say dis one just? You dey talk say, 'My correct-and-holy way pass God own.' 3Because you dey ask say, 'Wetin di gain be for you? Wetin I go gain if I no sin?' 4I go answer you, and your friends wey dey with you join. 5Look up for di heavens make you see; look di clouds wey high pass you. 6If you sin, wetin you do against am? And if your rebellions plenty, wetin you do to am? 7If you dey correct-and-holy, wetin you give am? Abi wetin im collect from your hand? 8Your wickedness dey touch only man wey be like you, and your righteousness only anoda human being. 9People dey cry out under di weight of plenty oppression; dem dey call for help against di arm of di mighty. 10But nobody dey say, 'Where God my Maker dey, wey dey give songs for di night, 11wey dey teach us pass di animals of di earth, and dey make us wise pass di birds of di sky?' 12For dat place dem dey cry out, but im no dey answer, because of di pride of wicked people. 13For true, God no dey listen to empty cry; di Almighty no dey mind am at all. 14How much more so, im no go answer wen you talk say you no dey see am—even doh your case dey before am and you must wait for am. 15And now, because im anger neva punish yet, and im no too mind foolishness. 16Job open im mouth with empty talk; im dey pile plenty words wey no get sense."
