Job Talk Again One More Time

Job remember wetin im don lose: im pikin dem around am, God friendship over im tent, the respect of the whole city. Im be eye for blind people and papa for people wey dey need, and im expect to die old for im nest with im glory still fresh.

Chapter 29.

And Job come talk again, e say: "Ah, I wish say I still dey like for di months wey don pass, like for di days wey God dey watch over me, wen im lamp dey shine over my head, and by im light I waka pass darkness; as I dey for di best days of my life, wen di intimate friendship of God dey rest over my tent, a a v4 Job dey yearn for di closeness wey e sabi before — God im intimate friendship over im house. E never know say di God wey e dey miss na di Papa wey im heart never comot for am; say e go see am with im own eyes before di book end. wen di Almighty still dey with me, wen my pikin dem dey surround me; wen my foot dem dey bath inside milk cream, and di rock dey pour streams of oil for me. Wen I go out to di gate of di city and take my seat for di public square, di young men see me and comot for road, and di old ones stand up straight; di princes hold back dia words and put hand for dia mouth; di voice of di big men quiet down, and dia tongue stick for di roof of dia mouth. Wen di ear hear, e call me blessed, and wen di eye see, e stand as witness for me, because I save di poor wey dey cry out, and di orphan wey no get anybody to help am. Di blessing of di person wey dey near to die come rest on me, and I make di widow heart sing for joy. I wear correct-and-holy way like cloth, and e cover me; my justice be like agbada and cap. I be eyes for di blind and foot for di lame. I be papa to di needy, and I search out di matter of person wey I no even sabi. I break di teeth of di wicked and snatch di prey comot for im mouth. So I bin think, 'I go die for my own nest, and increase my days like sand.' My roots reach down to di waters, and di dew lie for my branches di whole night. My glory dey fresh inside me, and my bow dey new for my hand every time. People dey listen to me and dey wait; dem keep quiet for my advice. After I talk, dem no talk again; my words dey fall soft-soft on dem. Dem dey wait for me like dem dey wait for rain, and dem open dia mouth like for di spring rain. Wen I smile give dem, dem no fit even believe am, and dem hold tight to di light of my face. I choose dia way and sidon as dia chief; I live like king among im soldiers, like person wey dey comfort di people wey dey mourn."
