Job 27

Book

Job Open Im Mouth Again

Job swear by the same God wey take im justice comot, im refuse to gree say im friends dey right; im go hold im integrity until im die. Then imself describe the wicked man portion: silver wey im gather, na righteous people go wear am, whirlwind for night, house wey be like cobweb.

Chapter 27.

And Job come start im talk again, e say: "As God dey live, wey don comot my justice, and di Almighty, wey don make my soul bitter, as long as my breath still dey inside me, and di Spirit of our Papa dey for my nose-hole, my lips no go talk lie, and my tongue no go yarn deceit. I no go ever gree say una correct; until I die I no go loose my integrity. I hold my correct-and-holy way tight and I no go loose am; my heart no dey blame me for any of my days.

"Make my enemy be like di wicked person, and make di one wey rise against me be like di one wey no correct. Because wetin be di hope of di person wey no get God when dem cut am off, when God comot im life? God go hear im cry when trouble come meet am? E go take joy for di Almighty? E go call God for all times? I go teach una about di hand of God; I no go hide wetin dey with di Almighty. See, una all don see dis thing with una own eye; why den una dey talk such empty words? Dis na di portion of wicked man from God, di inheritance wey oppressor people dey collect from di Almighty: If im pikin dem plenty, dem go die by sword, and im offspring no go get enough bread. Di ones wey remain after am, plague go bury dem, and dia widow dem no go cry. Even if e gather silver like dust and pile up cloth like clay, e fit pile am up, but na di correct-and-holy person go wear am, and na di innocent person go share di silver. E build im house like cocoon of moth, like di small hut wey watchman dey make. E lie down as rich man, but e no go do so again; e open im eye, and everything don comot. Fear catch am like flood; for di night whirlwind carry am comot. Di east wind lift am up and e don go; e sweep am comot from im place. E throw imsef for am without pity; e run comot quick-quick from im power. E clap im hand for am and hiss am comot from im place."
