Psalms 83

83 ¹O our Papa, no keep quiet; no hold your peace or stay calm, O our Papa. ²Because look, your enemies dey make noise; dem wey hate you don raise dem head. ³Against your people dem dey plan bad for secret; dem gather togeda to plan against dem wey you dey value. ⁴Dem talk say, “Come, make we wipe dem comot as a nation; make nobody remember di name of Israel again.” ⁵With one mind dem dey plan bad; against you dem dey make Covenant, ⁶di tents of Edom and di Ishmaelites, Moab and di Hagrites, ⁷Gebal and Ammon and Amalek, Philistia togeda with di people wey dey Tyre. ⁸Assyria sef don join dem; dem don become di strong arm for di children of Lot.

⁹Do dem like how you do Midian, like how you do Sisera and Jabin for di river Kishon, ¹⁰wey you destroy for En-dor and dem turn to manure for di ground. ¹¹Make dem big men be like Oreb and Zeeb, all dem princes like Zebah and Zalmunna, ¹²wey talk say, “Make we take for ourself di grazing land of God.” ¹³O my Papa, make dem be like dust wey dey turn-turn, like chaff wey wind dey blow. ¹⁴Like how fire dey burn forest, like how fire dey set mountain on blaze, ¹⁵na so make you pursue dem with your heavy wind and make your storm put fear for dem body. ¹⁶Cover dem face with shame, so dat dem go seek your name, O our Papa. ¹⁷Make shame and fear catch dem forever; make dem perish for disgrace, ¹⁸so dat dem go know say na you alone, wey your name na our Papa, na di Most High over all di earth.
