Luke 21

21 ¹As Jesus look up, e see rich people dey put dia gifts inside di temple money-box. ²E also see one poor widow dey put two small copper coins.

³E talk say, “I dey tell una true-true, dis poor widow don put pass everybody else. ⁴Because all dis people give gifts from di plenty wey remain for dem, but she, from her poverty, give everything wey she get to take live.”

Di Temple Go Fall

⁵As some people dey talk about di temple, how dem take fine stones and gifts wey dem dedicate to our Papa decorate am, e say:

⁶“For dis things wey una dey look so, di days dey come wey no one stone go remain ontop anoda—dem go throway every one of dem.”

⁷Dem ask am, “Teacher, wetin time all dis things go happen, and wetin sign go show say dis things dey near to happen?”

¹⁰Den e tell dem, “Nation go rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. ¹¹Big earthquake go shake ground, hunger and sickness go dey happen for different-different place, and fear things and big signs go come from heaven. ¹²But before all dis things, dem go grab una and dey persecute una, dem go hand una over to synagogues and prison, dem go drag una go before kings and governors because of my name. ¹³Dis go be una chance to talk am as witness. ¹⁴So settle am for una heart say una no go prepare wetin una go take defend unaself before-hand, ¹⁵because I go give una words and wisdom wey no enemy fit stand or argue against. ¹⁶Even una papa-and-mama, brothers, family people and friends go betray una, and dem go kill some of una. ¹⁷Everybody go hate una because of my name. ¹⁸But no even one hair for una head go lost. ¹⁹Na by una to endure na im go make una win una life.”

²⁰“Wen una see army people surround Jerusalem, den make una know say di time wey dem go scatter am don near. ²¹Den make di people wey dey Judea run go di mountains, make di people wey dey inside di city comot, and make di people wey dey for village no enter am, ²²because dis na di days of judgement, wen everything wey dem write go come pass. ²³Na wa go dey for women wey get belle and mama wey dey breastfeed for those days! Because big suffer go fall ontop di land, and vex go come against dis people. ²⁴Dem go die by di mouth of sword, and dem go carry dem go as prisoner enter all di nations. Foreign people go trample Jerusalem until di times of di nations come pass.”

²⁵“Signs go dey for sun, moon, and stars, and for ground, di nations go dey for wahala, dem go confuse because of di way di sea go dey roar and rush. ²⁶People go dey faint because of fear, dey fear wetin dey come ontop di world, because di powers of di heavens go shake. ²⁷Den dem go see di Pikin of Man dey come inside cloud with power and big glory. ²⁸Wen dis things start to happen, make una stand up straight and lift una head up, because di time wey dem go redeem una don near.”

²⁹Den e tell dem one parable: “Look di fig tree and all di trees. ³⁰Wen dem begin sprout leaf, una unaself dey see am and know say summer don near. ³¹Na so e be too, wen una see dis things dey happen, make una know say di kingdom of our Papa don near. ³²I dey tell una true-true, dis generation no go pass away until all dis things happen. ³³Heaven and earth go pass away, but my words no go ever pass away.”

³⁴“Make una watch unaself, so dat una heart no go heavy because of wild living, drunk, and di worry of dis life, and dat day go jump ontop una one-time, like trap. ³⁵Because e go come ontop everybody wey dey live for di face of di whole earth. ³⁶Make una dey watch all di time, dey pray for strength so dat una fit escape everything wey dey near to happen, and fit stand before di Pikin of Man.”
