Leviticus 23

23 ¹Our Papa talk to Moses, say:

²“Talk to di Israel people and tell dem: My feasts wey I don appoint, wey una go announce as holy gathering—na dem be my feasts wey I don appoint.

³“For six days una fit do work; but di seventh day na sabbath of complete rest, na holy gathering—make una no do any work at all. Na my sabbath, anywhere wey una dey stay.

Passover and Bread Wey No Get Yeast

⁴“Na dese be my feasts wey I don appoint, di holy gatherings wey una go announce for dia appointed times. ⁵For di first month, for di fourteenth day of di month wen sun dey go down, na my Passover. ⁶For di fifteenth day of dat month na my Feast of Bread Wey No Get Yeast; make una chop bread wey no get yeast for seven days. ⁷For di first day make una hold holy gathering; make una no do any ordinary work. ⁸Bring food offering give me for seven days. Di seventh day na holy gathering—make una no do any ordinary work.”

Di Feast of Firstfruits

⁹Our Papa talk to Moses, say:

¹⁰“Talk to di Israel people and tell dem: Wen una enta di land wey I dey give una, and una reap di harvest, bring one sheaf of di first part of una harvest give di priest. ¹¹E go wave di sheaf for my front so dat I go accept una; di priest go wave am di day afta di Sabbath. ^a a v11 Di first sheaf of di harvest, wey dem dey wave for di day afta di Sabbath, dey point go front to Jesus—wey dem raise for di first day of di week as di firstfruits of everybody wey go rise go new life. ¹²For di day wey una wave di sheaf, offer me one male lamb wey no get any blemish, wey never pass one year, as burnt offering, ¹³with im grain offering—about four quarts of fine flour wey dem mix with oil, na food offering give me, sweet smell wey dey please me—and im drink offering, about one quart of wine. ¹⁴Make una no chop bread, roasted grain, or fresh grain until dis day, until una bring una Papa im offering. Dis one na law wey go last for all generations, anywhere wey una dey stay.

Di Feast of Weeks

¹⁵“Count seven complete weeks from di day afta di Sabbath, di day wey una bring di wave-offering sheaf. ¹⁶Count fifty days, until di day afta di seventh Sabbath, den bring me new grain offering. ^b b v16 Dis counting of fifty days from firstfruits dey mark di feast wey dem later call Pentecost—di day wey our Papa pour di Holy Spirit for im children wey gather togeda. ¹⁷From una homes, bring two loaves of fine flour, about four quarts, wey dem bake with yeast, as wave offering of firstfruits give me. ¹⁸Togeda with di bread, offer seven lambs wey no get blemish, wey never pass one year, one young bull, and two rams. Dem na burnt offering give me, with dia grain and drink offerings—na food offering, sweet smell wey dey please me. ¹⁹Offer one male goat as sin offering, and two male lambs wey never pass one year as sacrifice of peace offerings. ²⁰Di priest go wave dem, togeda with di bread of firstfruits and di two lambs, as wave offering for my front. Dem holy give me, and dem na for di priest. ²¹Announce dis same day, hold holy gathering, and make una no do any ordinary work. Dis one na law wey go last anywhere wey una dey stay, generation afta generation.

²²“No reap di corner of una field finish, and no gada di small-small wey drop wen una dey harvest una land. Leave dem for di poor people and di stranger. Na me be una Papa.”

Di Feast of Trumpets

²³Our Papa talk to Moses, say:

²⁴“Tell di Israel people: for di first day of di seventh month, keep day of complete rest, a memorial wey dem go blow trumpet, holy gathering. ²⁵Make una no do any regular work; bring food offering give me.”

Di Day of Atonement

²⁶Our Papa talk to Moses, say:

²⁷“Di tenth day of dis seventh month na di Day of Atonement—hold holy gathering, deny unaself, and bring me food offering. ^c c v27 Deny unaself: for di Day of Atonement dis one mean fasting and to comot unaself from all ordinary work or enjoyment. ²⁸Make una no do any work for dat very day—na di Day of Atonement, to make atonement for una for my front, me wey be una Papa. ²⁹Anybody wey no deny imself for dat very day, dem go cut am comot from im people. ³⁰Anybody wey do any work for dat very day, I go destroy dat person from among im people. ³¹Make una no do any work at all—na law wey go last, generation to generation, anywhere wey una dey stay. ³²Dis one na sabbath of complete rest for una; deny unaself. From evening for di ninth day of di month until di next evening, keep una sabbath.”

Di Feast of Tabernacles

³³Our Papa talk to Moses, say:

³⁴“Tell di Israel people: For di fifteenth day of dis seventh month, my Feast of Tabernacles go start, e go last seven days. ³⁵Di first day: holy gathering. Make una no do any ordinary work. ³⁶For seven days, bring food offerings give me. For di eighth day hold holy gathering and bring food offering give me—na solemn assembly. Make una no do any ordinary work.

³⁷“Na dese be my appointed times, wey una go announce as holy gatherings, wey una go bring food offerings give me—burnt offering and grain offering, sacrifice and drink offerings—each one for im own day, ³⁸apart from my Sabbaths, apart from una gifts, all una vow offerings, and all di offerings wey una wan give me from una own mind.

³⁹“So for di fifteenth day of di seventh month, wen una don gada di produce of di land, celebrate my feast for seven days: di first day na complete rest, di eighth day na complete rest. ⁴⁰For di first day, take fruit of fine trees, palm branches, branches wey get plenty leaf, and willow tree of di stream, and rejoice for my front, me wey be una Papa, for seven days. ⁴¹Celebrate am as my feast for seven days every year, na law wey go last for una generations; celebrate am for di seventh month. ⁴²Live inside booths for seven days; every person wey born for Israel go live inside booths, ⁴³so dat una children-children go know say na me make di Israel people live inside booths wen I bring dem comot from Egypt. Na me be una Papa.”

⁴⁴So Moses announce to di Israel people di feasts wey our Papa don appoint.
