Keep Me Safe

16 1 Keep me safe, my Papa, because na inside You I dey hide.
2 I talk to my Papa say: You be my Sovereign Papa; if no be You, I no get any good thing. 3 As for di holy people wey dey for di land, na dem be di correct people wey my whole heart dey sweet for. 4 Di sorrow of dem wey dey run after another god go plenty; I no go pour dia blood drink-offering, and I no go let dia name comot for my mouth.
5 My Papa na my chosen portion and my cup; na You dey hold my share make e stand well. 6 Di boundary line don fall for me for fine places; true-true, I get inheritance wey fine well well.
7 I go bless my Papa, wey dey advise me; even for night, my heart dey teach me. 8 I dey keep my Papa for my front all di time; because E dey for my right hand, nothing go fit shake me.
9 So my heart dey glad and my whole body dey rejoice; my body sef go rest well well. 10 Because You no go throway my soul give di grave, and You no go allow Your holy one see rotten-rotten. a a v10 Peter for Pentecost (Acts 2:25-28) and Paul (Acts 13:35) take dis words point to Jesus — di trust wey David get for our Papa turn to di Pikin im rising from death, im body wey no ever see rotten. 11 You dey show me di road of life; for Your presence joy full up, and for Your right hand na sweet things wey no dey end.
