Isaiah 66

Book

Heaven Na My Throne

Heaven na im throne, so no building fit contain am; e dey look instead at anybody wey dey tremble for im word. Di people wey their own brothers push comot go get vindication. Our Papa dey comfort like mama and e gather every nation, and di book end dey look di dead body of di rebels.

Chapter 66.

Na dis one our Papa talk: “Heaven na my throne, and di earth na where I dey rest my leg. So, wia di house wey una wan build for me? And wia di place wey I go rest? Na my hand make all dis things, na so dem all come dey, na so our Papa talk. But na dis kind person I go look: di person wey dey humble and wey im spirit don break, and wey dey shake for my word. But person wey kill ox be like person wey kill man; person wey sacrifice lamb, like person wey break dog neck; person wey bring grain offering, like person wey present pig blood; person wey burn frankincense, like person wey bless idol. Dem don choose dem own way, and dem soul dey enjoy dem disgusting things. So me too I go choose hard treatment for dem and bring di thing wey dem dey fear come on top dem, because wen I call, nobody answer; wen I talk, dem no listen. Dem do wetin bad for my eye and choose wetin no dey please me.” Make una hear di word of our Papa, una wey dey shake for im word: “Una own brothers wey hate una and drive una comot because of my name don talk say, ‘Make dem glorify our Papa, so we go fit see una joy’—but na dem go carry shame.”

Sound of noise dey comot from di city! Voice dey comot from di temple! Na di voice of our Papa, wey dey pay im enemies back for wetin dem do!

Before labour pain reach am, she don born; before di pain come on top her, she don deliver pikin boy. Who don ever hear dis kind thing? Who don ever see dis kind things? Dem fit born land for one day? Dem fit bring nation come for one moment? But before Zion enter labour, she don already born her pikin dem.

“I go bring person reach di time of birth and I no go deliver am?” na so our Papa talk. “Me wey dey deliver, I go lock womb?” na so your Papa talk.

Make una rejoice with Jerusalem and dey happy for her, una all wey love her; make una rejoice with her with joy, una all wey dey mourn for her, so dat una go suck and belleful for her breast wey dey comfort, so dat una go drink well-well and enjoy her glory wey dey overflow.

Because na dis one our Papa talk: “I go stretch peace reach her like river, and di glory of di nations like stream wey dey overflow; una go suck breast and dem go carry una for waist and jump una for knee. Just as mama dey comfort her pikin, na so I go comfort una; and una go get comfort for Jerusalem.” a a v13 Our Papa dey paint im own comfort with di tenderness of mama wey dey soothe her pikin—im heart for im people soft pass wetin any one human picture fit hold.

Wen una see dis, una heart go rejoice, and una bones go flourish like new grass; di hand of our Papa go show to im servants, but im fury to im enemies.

Because look—our Papa go come with fire, and im chariots like whirlwind, to release im anger with fury and im rebuke with flames of fire. Because with fire and with im sword our Papa go judge all flesh, and plenty people go die for hand of our Papa.

“Dem wey dey consecrate and clean demself to enter di gardens, dey follow one wey dey for middle, dey chop di flesh of pigs and vermin and mice, dem go finish together, na so our Papa talk. b b v17 ‘Dey follow one wey dey for middle’: di central ritual figure or idol for di heart of dem pagan ceremony.

“Because I know dem deeds and dem thoughts. Di time dey come to gather all nations and tongues; dem go come and see my glory.

“I go set sign among dem and send survivors go di nations—Tarshish, Pul, Lud (wey dey pull bow), Tubal, Javan, and di far coastlands wey never hear about me or see my glory. Dem go declare my glory among di nations. Dem go bring all una brothers from every nation as offering to our Papa—on top horses, for chariots and wagons, on top mules and camels—come my holy mountain Jerusalem, na so he talk, just as Israel dey bring grain offering for clean vessel come di house of our Papa. And some of dem I go take make priests and Levites, na so our Papa talk.

“Because just as di new heavens and di new earth wey I make go last before me, na so our Papa talk, na so una offspring and una name go last. From new moon to new moon, and from Sabbath to Sabbath, all flesh go come worship before me, na so our Papa talk.

“And dem go comot go look di dead bodies of dem wey rebel against me; because dem worm no go die, and dem fire no go quench, and dem go be horror to all flesh.”
