2 Corinthians 5

5 ¹We know say: if dem pull down dis our tent for earth, we get building wey come from our Papa, house wey hand no build, wey no dey end for heaven. ²Because inside dis tent, we dey groan, we dey hungry make dem clothe us with our house wey dey for heaven, ³if to say, wen we don wear am, dem no go find us naked. ⁴Wen we dey inside dis tent, we dey groan, load dey press us—we no wan make dem comot our cloth, but make dem clothe us on top, so dat life fit swallow wetin fit die. ⁵Now di one wey ready us for dis very thing na our Papa, wey give us the Holy Spirit as guarantee.

⁶So we dey always get confidence, we sabi say wen we dey house inside dis body, we dey far from Oga, ⁷because na by faith we dey waka, no be by wetin we dey see. ⁸So we get confidence, and we prefer make we comot from di body come dey house with Oga. ⁹So whether we dey house or we dey far, we dey take am as our aim make we please am. ¹⁰Because all of us must stand before di judgment seat of Christ, make each person receive wetin fit am for wetin e do inside di body, whether good or bad.

Dem Don Settle Us Back, Come Send Us as Ambassador

¹¹So as we sabi di fear of Oga, we dey beg people make dem gree; we dey plain for our Papa eye, and I dey hope say we plain for una conscience too. ¹²We no dey praise ourself give una again, but we dey give una reason make una fit take us do proud, so dat una go get answer for dem wey dey brag about wetin dem be for outside, no be for heart. ¹³Whether we don craze, na for our Papa; whether our mind correct, na for una. ¹⁴Because Christ im love dey push us, since we don gree for mind say: one person die for all, so all don die. ¹⁵E die for everybody, so dat dem wey dey alive no go live for demself again, but for di one wey die for dem come rise up.

¹⁶So from now, we no dey know anybody by human way. Before-before we bin know Christ dat way too, but no be so again. ¹⁷So if person dey inside Christ, e don be new creation! Di old don pass; look, di new one don come! ¹⁸All dis thing na from our Papa, wey settle us back to imself through Christ, and give us di work of settling people back: ^a a v18 Di settling dey start for our Papa im own heart—na im dey stretch hand come carry us come house, and na through Jesus e dey do am. ¹⁹Wetin e mean be say, inside Christ our Papa bin dey settle di world back to imself, e no dey count dem sin against dem, and e trust us with di message of settling people back.

²⁰So we be ambassador for Christ, as if say our Papa dey beg through us. We dey beg for Christ side: make una settle back to our Papa. ²¹For our sake, e make di one wey no sabi sin become sin, so dat inside am we fit become di correct-and-holy way of our Papa.
